Here’s a great “chill” rap track done by the Timeflies. The dope mashups below were done by the producer, Rob Resnick. For more information, check out the blurbs they sent us.
Timeflies are a hip hop duo out of Tufts University. The group consists of Rob Resnick (producer) and Cal on the vocals. They are originally from New Jersey and New York. After building a buzz on their campus the duo started to record and release new songs this fall. Their new track, Lose My Mind, is more upbeat than their past releases All Night, In Your Eyes with Trey Palms, and Fade. The duo plans to put out a few more tracks before the end of the year and then is looking forward to booking shows for 2011. Be sure to check them out on Facebook and Twitter.

Rob Resnick is a DJ and Producer. Formally known as Reslife, DJ Rob Resnick currently produces for Timeflies, as well as creating his own mashups. He is a senior at Tufts and originally from New Jersey. He has DJ’ed in the past in many places in Boston, New York, as well as in Italy in both Milan and Florence. Follow rob on Twitter.

This track will most likely only thrill the most diehard Mau5-heads, but with this DJ’s growing stature and influence in the industry its worth it for all house progressive house fans to give it a listen….cause hey, it may just be the future.

As all my avid followers know, I’m a house junkie especially for tracks with melodic accapellas. Therefore it should come as no surprise that one of my favorite DJ’s out right now is Kaskade, who’s latest album release catapulted him into the big leagues. Kaskade seamlessly mashes one of the summer’s hottest tracks with his very own in order to produce a deep progressive track.

Deadmau5’s incredible progressive house track, Brazil, just begs for Haleys angelic vocals. Seriously, this mash adds a perfect dimension to the original.

Swedish House Mafia’s One (Your Name) ft Pharell will be taking over fraternity speakers near you this fall/year so naturally I’m always interested to hear new interpretations of the original. Kaskade didn’t let me down with this house-club joint.

None of these songs are recently new but if your into heavy music or dubstep these are all unreal and must haves. This guy has become one of my favorite DJ’s recently, the synth sounds he uses to accompany the whomping brings a unique sound to dubstep that will have every one of his songs on repeat.

Tears are flowing down my cheeks as I write this post solely because I had to sell my EDC ticket due to some alcohol charges we won’t indulge upon. So while the best DJ’s in the world will be pouring their hearts out through their live sets five minutes from my apartment at my beloved university, Ill be sitting through 16 hours of positive living and ethic classes! Scope the video, download the song that drops halfway through, and be safe…raves=sketch. I’m going to get more tissues, enjoy.
