So last year my buddy got randomly assigned a roommate who turned out to be a DJ/producer like everyone else seems to be these days. He showed me a few tracks that were decent but nothing really stood out. Then he sent me this one…his label just put in a couple remixes on it and the result ended in two must downloads, one of which is #74 on Beatport. Make sure you check these out.

The above video is one of the many reasons I voted for Hardwell in the DJ mag poll. “Future Folk” from Tommy Trash is a huge track with his signature hard hitting electro sound as well as some very interesting sounds mixed in. Add some awesome synth and pumping bass and you have yourself a banger. You will want this track as it is going to be everywhere.

“Alive” is an anthem no doubt, and it is great in so many ways, but when I first heard it I could tell there was room for a remix. Tommy Trash did just that and infused his brand of electro to this summer anthem to create a powerful drop that works perfectly with the slow melodic build.

Los recently dropped the visuals for “Vintage Rolls Royce Interior”, which was part of DJ ill Will’s Coast 2 Coast Vol. 172 mixtape, also hosted by Kid Ink. The whip itself validates it for me, but Swagga Boy’s lines are dynamite as well. The Crown certainly ain’t safe and Los is only months away from blowing up.

In addition to the visuals, we’ve got a brand new track from the Maryland MC. In honor of Los’ boy, he brewed up a nice slow jam fitting for any anniversary. This track could be the second single off Los’ debut album, The Crown Ain’t Safe, but I haven’t seen any confirmation just yet.

Electro, House, Videos | 13 year old DJs at Cafe Mambo, Bassjackers

I cannot tell if I should be taking this seriously or not. They are tiny with all the DJ equipment and the crowd towers over the them. Also 13 may be spotting them a few years. Whatever these kids are playing a legit club in Ibiza and that is ridiculous for a 13 year old. Props to T for showing me this. Coming off of their huge hit “Mush Mush” that has been rocking festivals all summer, the Bassjackers (not the kids above) are at it again with this massive remix. The vocals resemble that of Example and the bass line and drop are awesome, perfect for a live show.
