Bass | DJ Snake’s “Here Comes The Night” Receives Impressive Rework From Crankdat

Posted by on April 7, 2017

The dude can do no wrong. Crankdat is back at it again, this time with an official remix of one of the biggest DJs in the world, DJ Snake. The Parisian superstar act dropped a strong remix pack featuring Crankdat, NGHTMRE and more. We decided to highlight Crankdat’s for you as he truly knocked this one out of the part. He hits you with two drops, the first being an explosive sequence layered with feel-good melodies. Crankdat throws his listeners a curveball though on the latter half with a minimal trap drop that likely goes off in the festival scene. The 20-year-old kid is on a roll and is getting ready for his major festival debut at Number Fest in Athens, OH. Tune into his latest remix above and enjoy!

RnB | “FKNU” Will Hit You Right In The Feels

Posted by on November 1, 2016

Does it matter anymore when a great track is dropped, who’s behind it? Is it about the music, or is it all about the name? In a world, where the blogosphere is all about hype, and click bait, here’s something refreshing you, a great record with no name tied to it. “FKNU” popped up on my SoundCloud feed while crate digging, and this tune is quality. Borrowing from the great Notorious BIG for the hook, this RnB release will hit you right in the feels. If you love that tropical sound, paired with those chopped up vocal drops, this one’s for you, it’s a must listen, think if Nick Jonas got in the studio with Major Lazer, or Dj Snake!

House | Let DJ Snake and Bipolar Sunshine Take You To The “Future Pt. 2”

As part of his recently released debut album Encore, DJ Snake has paired up with UK-based singer Bipolar Sunshine once again to deliver an impressive, smooth-cut single, “Future Pt. 2.” This single follows their worldwide hit “Middle” that quickly took over the international airwaves and found its way in the United States and France’s top 20 charts.  The success of the first collaborative track leads us to believe that this new release will follow suit.

DJ Snake amply sets the tone with a thick, grooving bass line, quickly followed by Bipolar Sunshine’s velvety lyricism that melds eloquently with the robust synth rhythms and layered vocal flairs. The track hits a fine balance between passion and impact, while capturing DJ Snake’s perceptive and commanding style.  Listen above!

Trap | T-Mass Completely Flipped Major Lazer & DJ Snake’s “Lean On”

“Lean On” has been everywhere lately – the radio, college parties, even Ultra, but T-Mass just took it to a whole another level. Slowing down the vocals, T-Mass perfectly maintains the balance between keeping the integrity of the original and adding his own flip on the track. I’ll just let the music speak for itself – check it out and grab that free download!

YOU ALREADY KNOW WHAT IT IS.

All the music that I listened to throughout the last 12 months enough to make me sick but somehow didn’t. The fields of music brought a bountiful yield in 2013 which allowed listeners like me to tune into more genres and artists than I could ever imagine. In order to cover all my necessary bases, I’ve drafted quite a comprehensive list (or two) missing prety much only anything Jennifer Lawrence related although if all the things she said this year were songs then they would 100% have made it on my list as well.

So, let the countdown, BEGIN!
