Chill | U2 – Ordinary Love (Pretty Pink Remix)
Posted by VMan on June 10, 2014
This one’s for the lovers, Pretty Pink just delivered a remix for U2’s “Ordinary Love” and it’s one you can lose yourself to the music. I personally just finished listened to it, and right now I’m left in a dream state, on some what’s next, don’t stop the vibe. This is my first time hearing of Pretty Pink, but I’m digging their nu-disco meets deep house feels. With 11 days left until it’s officially Summer, it’s safe to say that you can include this ditty in your playlist. This is a must listen and a must download!

Progressive House | Special Features – Save The Beat
Posted by Mel on May 23, 2014
Like my good pal and, once again, long time lover Middy has previously said, Special Features has dabbled in many different styles of progressive house music. After his nu-disco influenced remix of the Flight Facilities original “I Didn’t Believe”, he collaborated with Ansolo on “Unite”, a very much club oriented track. He is once again bringing a new style to his music with “Save The Beat”, his latest release. There is an apparently strong disco influence this time and even some “summer vibes” as he says.

It is without a doubt the year of the bass, and Solidisco get it with their latest Chromeo remix of their tune “Jealous,” a fun disco-house remix of a funky original record to begin with. Right now, all I want to do listening to this track is take my pants off, and just dance around the house like I’m Tom Cruise from Risky Business. I’ll let ya’ll imagine that! Shoot, join the party, press play, and shake it all off! This is a must listen and make sure you check out Chromeo’s super dope album “White Women.”

This post of Moodblanc’s latest release “Something” is way overdue, and I’d like to personally apologize to the Swedes. I’ve had this track on repeat since the minute they sent it to me, and I guess the music was so good, it made me forget to share it with all of you! Mixing 80’s pop with that popular nu-disco sound that has been making its rounds through out the internet, the guys manage to put together the perfect Summer record to take with you to the beach, or to sing to your lover channeling your inner Prince. You got that somethinggggggg, this is a must listen and a must download!

Electronic | Midnight Pool Party – Linger
Posted by mimada on April 16, 2014
Well folks, it’s the middle of April which means it took me an entire four months to find a new artist to start obsessing over (2014, get your shit together!). But it seems my hunting has come to a end, well temporarily, of course, as I would like to introduce you all to Midnight Pool Party. This band comes from where else other than the down under: Sydney, to be exact. Their style is summarized by a contagious, feel good, retro disco sound, or better put in their own words, a “potent cocktail of funky guitar licks, infectious keys and swoonsome choruses.” Their latest single, “Linger” and all its remixes (especially Luke Million’s) is a great starting place to fall in love with these party people, and once you’re ready for more, you can catch up with me over on their Miami Horror “Real Slow” remix as I’ve had it on repeat for about a week now. They’ve got their tracks available for free download so you can cop them, play them for your friends, and all dance until you drop.

Chill | Salt Ashes – Somebody (Cruelty Remix)

Last week I featured Satin Jackets’ latest remix of Salt Ashes’ “Somebody,” a nu-disco rendition of the synth-pop record, well this week having that tune on repeat on my SoundCloud, I couldn’t help but love the Cruelty remix of “Somebody” as well, which adds a funky touch to the original. I know I’m a month late with this one, but this track is by far underrated, and with the current exposure “Somebody” is getting, there’s no doubt this record deserves a revisit and a feature! This is a must listen and a must download!
