This is a two for one post. Ethan of Live City in sending this over to me, predicted that the original is going to be huge this year, a surefire soundtrack for commercials very soon. I won’t disagree with him there, and neither will I disagree with his rendition of the tune, adding an upbeat progressive twist to Mikey Wax’s work. This is perfect for your weekend. If you are in NYC, go and check them our with the Disco Fries and Aire Atlantica at Slake on the 18th. It is going to be a wild time.

Live City & the edm Jesus, Tommie Sunshine, collabed last year alone 5 times, so it is fitting that they would get right to it in 2014 with another remix effort. They unleash a fireball of a remix, with an acid-tinged, electro drop, over a punchy, rolling bass line. These three have been coming together on some big tunes, and this remix is no different. Gazzo is preparing for his next EP release through the Disco Fries up and coming label, Liftoff Recordings, and to get the fans ready he gave out a b-side track to last us the wait. Gazzo comes through with another exceptional feel-good song, perfect for playing loud on this Sunday afternoon. Jared Wohl’s vocals add a strong emotion to this track, keeping it true to it’s name. Gazzo’s “The Cage EP” drops in just a few weeks, no specific date yet.

Boston’s own, Clinton Sparks is a man that embodies all things awesome. From hosting television shows on E! to being nominated for his work on Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” it seems 2012 has been his year. Just a few weeks ago, Clinton released “My Awesome Mixtape 2” a torrid dance mix that took the electronic dance world by storm. Once solely a hip-hop producer, Clinton has begun to focus on electronic music as of late, diligently carving out a lane all his own.
Clinton shows no signs of stopping, as he’s already gearing up for “My Awesome Mixtape 3” slated to drop in May.
