Progressive House | Dirty South & Michael Brun – Rift

Posted by on November 26, 2012

Dirty South has really taken the young Haiten producer under his Phazing wing, not only editing his single “Rise“, but also putting him on remix duties for an upcoming Those Usual Suspects track and signing his collab with Special Features, “Synergy“. “Rift” is that next step for the Phazing brethren in what is becoming a long line of absolutely dominant big room tracks from Dirty South and a progressively more impressive discography from Michael Brun. This track is going to be demolishing the Southern Hemisphere festival season and those of you going to Stereosonic in the coming weeks, expect to hear this early and often.

House, Preview | [Preview] Dirty South & Michael Brun – Rift

Posted by on September 17, 2012

Don’t know the story behind the song title, because after listening to just a snippet of this upcoming track there is obviously no ‘Rift’ between Australian EDM-mainstay Dirty South and rising star/potential protégé Michael Brun. What a banger! Sort of reminds me of Arty’s now famous edit of Ferry Corsten’s ‘Punk’ with it’s aggressive synths and it’s ground-thumping bass. According to Dragan, the track is coming out very soon, but as we all know too well EDM release dates are so nebulous that one can never know when a song will ACTUALLY be let loose to the public. We’ll let you know when we know!

Progressive House | Alesso & Dirty South – City Of Dreams

Posted by on August 27, 2012

This track is practically flawless. The chemistry between the two of these guys is evident in the quality of the track and in their twitter jests at each other’s sister and mom. The song features Rudy on vocals with Alesso & DIrty taking over with a sublime guitar & piano melody building into a drop with smooth strings, uplifting synth chords, dextrous key play and a determined bass line. I had originally thought that this summer had been devoid of truly great anthems to hang its hat on, but with some of the releases today and recently, I think that has been remedied, with Alesso coming through with two of them on not only “City Of Dreams”, but also “Years“. Dirty South has also announced his “City Of Dreams” tour which will take him all across North America starting this Thursday in Tallahassee and finishing November 24th in LA. Dates and more info after the jump.

Whoa, so this just happened. The official preview for Alesso & Dirty South’s collaboration “City Of Dreams” just dropped with the release date coming in just 8 days. If you follow Alesso & Dirty South on twitter, you know about their jokes at the expense of each other’s mom and sister respectively, so this collaboration was only a matter of time. This will be the anthem of the end of the summer with “Don’t You Worry Child” and will get some serious airtime at festivals like Electric Zoo. Listen to the preview below or the radio rip above from EDC NYC to hold you over until this massive release.

Preview, Progressive House | John Dahlback – Embrace Me (Dirty South Remix)

Posted by on June 18, 2012

The distinguished Dirty South has released his remix of John Dahlback’s “Embrace Me” after premiering it on Phazing Radio #003 to critical praise. Dirty South is one of those producers who takes his time with his productions and does not over release, thus making each one that much more important. He does not miss on his tracks and has another in his arsenal with his collaboration with Alesso “City of Dreams“. “Embrace Me” combines the euphoric synth melodies that Dirty South is so skilled at making with a well crafted build, a strong clap driven bass line and male vocals that fit perfectly into the track. Dirty South has himself another monster to accompany his remix of “Devil’s Work” that is still doing work in sets all across the globe, so do not miss this one.

DJ-Set, Progressive House | Denzal Park – Amarok

Posted by on June 3, 2012

The Aussie duo Denzal Park have been on the rise with their single Militia being supported by all the big names and their recently released remix of Tune in Tokyo – Ray of Love doing well and is a must have. They have just released a new single “Amarok” that should be shaking festival floors worldwide. With a chord progression very similar that of Axwell – Heart is King, though a bit heavier, with intricate key work, a driving bass line and smooth long synth chords in the build, this is a track that will stand tall in the Denzal Park discography for a long time.

Below is the latest episode of Dirty South’s Phazing Radio that includes some the best recent progressive tracks as well as a preview of his incredible remix of John Dahlback – Embrace Me. Download it for free on iTunes and tracklist after the jump.
