House | David Guetta feat. Sia – Titanium (dBerrie Remix)

Posted by on October 13, 2011

Its no secret to those who follow me, that I am a sucker for progressive house. I have a voracious appetite that can only be calmed by the epic rises, and super melodic synth breaks. Luckily for me, dBerrie has my recipe down pat. His latest remix to David Guetta’s Titanium is nothing short of house mastery.

…and if one track wasn’t enough for ya, dBerrie also send over this unreleased remix to Strong. This one is definitely a must have as well.

Hip-Hop | J_ Mal – Ride Wit Me

Posted by on October 6, 2011

After dropping the first official leak off J_ Mal’s upcoming album My Pride My Passion two weeks ago, it is about damn time that we hit you with another cut off this project. On Ride Wit Me, J_Mal comes at you with raw lyricism from the moment you press that play button. Make sure you stick with this track though because although this beat starts out pretty raw as well, things really start to get crazy after his opening verse. I am definitely feeling the ethereal beat and upbeat flow that J_Mal unloads on our ears in this track, and after checking it out, I am sure you will be itching to add My Pride My Passion to your collection when it drops right here on October 12th.

Hip-Hop, Videos | Old Money – Maroon on the Move (Music Video)

Posted by on October 6, 2011

Not sure how to describe Old Money’s sound but it’s definitely dope. In their own words, they blend “influences of Global Bass, Soul, Dancehall, Hip-Hop, and Spoken Word to stretch the limits of new age music.” Got that? Cool. Now click play to hear a sound that you won’t be hearing anywhere else.

DO SOMETHING

Dubstep | Blackmill Feat. Veela – Let It Be

Posted by on October 4, 2011

This chill-melodic style of dubstep is right up my alley. Sure, I can dig a heavy track but there’s also a time and place for tracks like this masterpiece from Blackmill. Keep an eye on this guy, he’s definitely on the up and up.

House | Burns – Iced Out (Calvin Harris Remix)

Pretty sick remix from the man himself. He’s on top of the world right now with his “We Found Love” Rihanna collab…definitely worth a download.

Dubstep | Zeds Dead & The Killabits – Bassmentality

Posted by on September 30, 2011

Zeds Dead and The Killabits dropped their anticipated new collaboration last week on iTunes and Beatport and it’s definitely a must listen. It’s not too heavy, but has a great drop and a cool, memorable riff at the beginning that is easy on the ears. If you’re just getting into dubstep you should definitely check this one out because it won’t melt your face off, and if you’re a hardened pro you should probably still throw this into your rotation because I’ve got a feeling we’re going to start hearing it around. Download it on Beatport or iTunes.

Dubstep | Rednek – They Call Me (Music Video)

Posted by on September 28, 2011

The video for Rednek’s upcoming track, “They Call Me” hit the internet yesterday, and it’s amusing and very well done. A few moments definitely echo some of the crazy effects in Skrillex’s First of the Year video. Also really feeling the song; reggae-infused dubstep (typically referred to as “dub”) — who wouldn’t love that? Then again, this is the guy behind one of the more bizarre songs I’ve heard recently, so this atypical track doesn’t shock me too much. Banjo riffs aside, I think Rednek is definitely worth keeping an eye on.
