After the success of his second EP ‘Annie’ earlier on in 2016, Australian producer Failr is back with a brand new sample-driven track called ‘Animal’, which features the gorgeous voice of Sydney singer AVIVA. The two are a match from heaven, as Failr’s wonderful beats and complimented perfectly by AVIVA’s soulful vocals. “Working on this track was like opening Pandora’s box as it led to another 4 tracks all coming together in the space of 2 weeks,” Failr said, “In a lot of ways the track is essentially what I would have made from day one, had I had the production ability, musical knowledge and the ability to create Legend of Zelda, Ocarina of Time vocal chops.” The combination of cut-up guitar samples, summer vibes and thumping kicks makes “Animal” a must listen, so check it out now!

Fresh off a recent tour in Europe, the Marietta, Georgia born and raised hip hop emcee Kyle Lucas delivers visuals for ‘5 Days’. The track appears on Lucas’ most recent compilation enlisted ‘Marietta, Georgia The Album’. We’ve been supporting Kyle since day one, which was long before most of those appearing on this site today. His content is extremely unique and much deeper than a lot of music floating around currently. Be sure to cop his album and support on iTunes.

Events | Electric Zoo Releases Trailer, Extra Security Measures & Pre-Sale Tickets

Posted by on April 30, 2014

The big news coming out of Made Event today is that Electric Zoo finally was issued its permits by the city of New York for this year over Labor Day weekend August 29th – August 31st. That means all of the wild and ridiculous speculation that E Zoo wouldn’t be back can end and the attention can turn to who will be booked and the new safety measures put in place. Speaking of those safety measures, a quick run down: drug sniffing dogs, lots of extra cops & medical personnel, including undercovers in the crowd, big marketing & social media campaign about safety and most importantly, a shorter festival cutting two hours of the day from 11am – 1pm.

So the question now arises, with all of the extra security, will it become suffocating and cause problems or be a net benefit and will you get your money’s worth for you ticket since prices are not going down, even with less acts. Pre-sale tickets are on sale now for $335 so check it out and make the decision yourself. We had a blast day one and two last year, but everyone knows this year will be different.

DO SOMETHING

Preview, Progressive House | Vicetone – Tremble (Preview)

Vicetone - Tremble

It has been 363 days since I first posted their first ever releases — a batch of remixes for Adele, Flo Rida and Calvin Harris. Now they are circling the world, playing festivals and getting a release on Protocol Recordings. Vicetone are for real and have been since day one. “Tremble” is vintage Vicetone, with powerful synth chords, and an emotive string-led build, all wrapped into a well-produced track, as always that shows just how polished these guys are. Check back August 5th for the full release.

Bootleg | DJ Trademark – Missing Piece (Leventina x Katy Perry x Robyn x Ke$ha)

Posted by on November 5, 2012

DJ Trademark is the Jeremy Lin of the mashup game right now. His tracks were always good, but out of nowhere all of his past releases have been unbelievable. We’ve been huge supporters of Trademark since day one, but with another release next week and an official EP release on the 14th, I’m personally excited to say, it’s his time. Download it.

Hip-Hop | Mac Miller – Day One: A Song About Nothing

Posted by on June 9, 2012

Mac tweeted out this self-produced track early this morning. Not too shabby in my opinion production wise and lyrically. He gets into a bit of his sippin syrup talk, but other than that the flow is nice. Much better than that Onaroll track he dropped a few days back.
