As usual, you really have no idea what you’re about to get into when pressing play on a brand new Mat Zo track – and that’s exactly why we have a bit of a broner for the dude. His bi-weekly Mat Zo Mixes (see Soundcloud) are the epitome of “Doin It Live” – this track confirms that Mat Zo isn’t about genre restrictions. Damage Control quite possibly was one of the best albums to put EDM onto its ass in the last decade and the producer/dj is showing no signs of exhaustion. He’s getting ready to hit the road and break-in his brand new label, Mad Zoo in the coming months – here’s an exquisite taste of what to expect.

2013 was a year of many momentous things. Including the insanely awesome above shot, which was taken by yours truly with a cracked iPhone (and it’s frankly still a mystery as to how I managed to pull it off. I mean, look at that thing. Mat Zo’s album “Damage Control” hits stores on November 5th. The world is not ready for this album, there is not a bad song on the entire thing. Shocker, I know, but it is the truth.
