Dabin has long been a producer that has pushed the boundaries of sound. He’s shifted his focus over the years and settled in on his own signature style that’s caught the eyes and ears of esteemed talents such as Illenium, who has taken Dabin on tour and continues to work alongside him. I’ve been waiting for another big project from Dabin and today it came in the form of his Pyres EP. Complete with two tracks, Dabin’s iconic style is displayed in full. Each track is equally as powerful, but share a slight difference in tone. This is the EP you need for the weekend. He brought all the feels on it!

Dabin has always been someone we’ve looked to for a high level of musicality. His tracks have always had a certain edge that only a select amount of producers have. We thought things couldn’t get any better, but they did when we heard his highly anticipated album, Two Hearts, that dropped today through Kannibalen Records. Complete with eleven singles, this massive project is just what EDM needs right now. Sure, it’s not your typical “EDM” but the scene at large really needs music like this. With tracks like “Lilith” and “Hold” this LP is a complete masterpiece. At no point do you feel you need to skip to the next song, which is a sure sign you have something special. On March 31st, Dabin will be releasing his highly anticipated album Two Hearts through Kannibalen Records. Today we have the fortune of sharing with you what is likely to be one of the dopest songs off the project. “Lilith” sees Dabin collaborating with label mate Apashe, whose recent LP Copter Boy was a huge success. Their bass-driven styles work well together and after adding the incredibly talented singer Madi to the mix, the result was something extraordinary. “Lilith” is unlike anything my ears have been exposed to and it alone has me excited for the album. Now, it’s not Summer quite yet, but with festival season and Coachella here, EDM fans are living it up as though Summer has started. With so much music coming out, and set to release, it’s hard to pick and choose what tracks really stand out. Unless you are Dabin and Koven who delivered what could be one of the top tracks we here throughout the next several months from DJs all over the world. “Revenant” is their masterpiece that juxtaposes memorable melodies with some headbanging bass between drops. There’s a lot of insane records that are put out by Kannibalen Records and from Dabin in particular, but this is up there as one of the special ones. The match-up between Dabin and Koven was a perfect pairing, and I hope to see them do something again in the future. For now, stream or buy “Revenant.”

Dabin continues his hot streak with another Kannibalen Release, this time an EP entitled Hold / She Was. This three track project is fit with two originals, including a feature with long time collaborator Daniela Andrade. Their work on “Hold” is a magical venture into an anthemic future style. Coming second is a harder original that is stacked with more bass. “She Was” still has that soft tone that Dabin has been continuously shaping over the year. If two originals weren’t enough for you, Stolensnares dished out a future bass remix of “Hold” that adds a nice concluding touch to the EP. Toronto producer Dabin is known for his sexy, smooth sound. He’s a continuous outlet for quality originals and remixes, which includes an official remix for Iggy Azalea back when she was hype in the mainstream music world. 2015 has quite possibly been the producer’s biggest year yet, with some huge releases and shows including festivals like Electric Forest, and the upcoming Decadence. With the growth comes the passing of milestones, and to celebrate the passing of 40,000 Facebook fans, Dabin dropped a remix of “Crazy In Love” by the one and only Beyonce. His emotional interpretation takes from numerous genres to sport an epic downtempo sound. The first drop is incredible, but with the second, Dabin brings in some deep horns to get a little edgier.
