Hip-Hop | New Linen – Making the Most
Posted by GMONEY on November 4, 2011
In order to prep everyone for their EP, which drops sometime in early 2012, New Linen is giving us a sneak peak at what’s to come. Making the Most is a clean acoustic/hip hop jam with a catchy chorus complimented by smooth verses. If this is a preview of whats to come, I can’t wait to hear what else New Linen has in store for us in 2012.

Hip-Hop, Videos | PropaneLV – Rearview ft. Derek Cate (Music Video)
Posted by Jess on October 25, 2011
PropaneLV’s second music video titled “Rearview” is a chill acoustic cut featuring YouTube sensation Derek Cate on the hook and Chi Duly behind the boards. The song is a reflection on the days that were less than bright while reluctantly leaving them in the dust. It just so happens that the three artists involved all hail from the same college town on the west coast, making the track hit home even harder.

Hip-Hop | Mike Stud ft. Huey Mack and Rich Young – Back Again
Posted by GMONEY on August 22, 2011
Alright so it’s that time of the year again… summer is coming to a close and most of us are heading back to school very soon. Mike Stud just sent over this back-to-school banger that just about sums up how every college student feels right about now. The track also has a feature from another FNT favorite, Huey Mack, as well as production from and Rich Young. But the good news doesn’t end there… within a few weeks Mike says that he’ll have a music video for the track directed by the very talented John Kilmer. Show Mike , Huey, and and Rich Young some support by liking them on Facebook.

Albums | Avicii and David Guetta- Sunshine
Posted by ATexas on August 18, 2011
If you were a super Avicii Addict, then you know this song has been bouncing around youtube since late July. Needless to say the music quality of the track was about as fine as the meat at Taco Bell (why do I still eat there?) and the HQ version is now here! It is classic Avicii, although its on David Guetta’s new album, with a drop at around 2:20. Why is this song so good? But actually, someone answer my question. Is it because I’m a white girl that attends a liberal arts college that I just die for Avicii? No, because you do too. Someone take me back to college so I can rally late at night, get schwasty and rage to this song. Cheers!

When you combine the power of massive tracks from artists like LMFAO, New Boyz, Dev, Lil Jon, Britney, etc. do you know what you end up with? Yes, you guessed it, another f*cking massive mashup anthem. If you’ve just arrived at your college dorm and want to immediately make some friends (while getting all the girls wet) just throw this on deck.

Mashups | 3LAU – Dubsex (Skrillex & Nero ft Britney, Daft Punk, Posner, & Amanda)
Posted by Juicebox on August 16, 2011
3LAU is the Avicii of college artists right now…the kid’s gone from 5 Facebook likes to almost 5k in just a few months, went from taking his sister to prom to dating BIGLIFE’s ex gf, and he’s mastered the production game so we’ll even Afrojack would be impressed. Because everyone and their sister these days seems to be producing mashups, the notable few at the top hold their dominant position due to one thing…creativity. Never in my right mind would I have imagined being able to mash anything over the heavy drops/whomps Skrillex & Nero created with “Promises”…I guess that’s why I’m the one sitting in my grandmother’s basement and 3LAU’s out touring.

And for good “Mashup Monday” measure, here are a few bonus tracks from DJ LockDown. I dare you to listen to “Viva La Bassline” three times in a row, that sample will be stuck in your head for the rest of the night.
