StarRo, an artist from Los Angeles who puts out numerous emotional jazz, R&B, chill, and soul tracks, released this remix of “Goodbye ft. Toki Asako” by Japanese instrumental post-rock band Toe. This remix is expertly crafted and incredibly soothing. The drums and chimes bring in a few exotic sounds and the track is one you will definitely find yourself rocking along to. “My Friends Never Die” by ODESZA is an absolutely blissful album. All the tracks are great, but personally I think the title track is the highlight. Overall the album is smooth, classy, and chill – while still being fun. It’s electronic music done right. I enjoyed it from start to finish, and fortunately for us it’s free! The newest original released by Chiefs called “The City” featuring Chachi Kamikazi & Gracelands is an interesting trap track. It starts out as more melodic style trap and becomes more aggressive towards the end with a rap section. It was an ear catching listen for sure. It’s a great song to chill and relax to. Unlike most girls, I LOVE surprises. And boy did this Amerie remix from French producer Phazz knock me off my feet (or swivel chair, whatever). It starts off pretty trill and then about a minute in… well, I don’t wanna spoil the treat. All I can say is you better not pass on this soulful free download. Browsing through some of Phazz’s older tracks you might find that not only are they all free as well but they’re actually all very dope. In fact, the name should ring a bell if you’ve been on top of your music blogging game. So check it ~

Experimental artist Sekuoia, hailing from Copenhagen, created this chill remix of “Pearl” as a part of Mieux’s Neufant (Remixes) EP. The vocal chops and percussion take your mind far away. It’s the kind of track that is easy to get lost in – perfect for studying or relaxing in these last few days of August. Kastle has been one of my favorite producers for a few years now. “Death From Above” featuring JMSN (who is also awesome) is a single off of Kastle’s self-titled album for sale on iTunes. The vocals from all different octaves somehow flow together with the off beat rhythm. Kastle keeps his signature sexy, simple style throughout the whole album, and this single is no exception. It’s saucy and smooth and a must-have for chill electronic fans!

Ta-Ku always makes the sweetest remixes. Ta-Ku’s remix of Oisima’s “Everything About Her” is pretty unique. It’s mellow, but the higher pitched sounds keep the listener awake. Annabel Weston’s vocals on the track are beautiful and flow nicely over the fresh beats from Ta-Ku. The chill vibes are plentiful, and it’s free to download!
