FNT favorite Viceroy collaborating with WhiteNoize is back with his first original since his EP in the fall. It has an old school house feel with a prominent, funky bass line, horn samples and vocal sample that helps carry the melody. It is a nice change of pace to hear that old school house sound with all of the electro and progressive house tracks these days. This track reminds it is Summertime, All The Time, so finish up those finals and get to summer. It will be out on Beatport on May 7th. UPDATED with Beatport Link

Mr. Pabst and Jazz hits us with his newest collaboration with Mr. Dreamchaser(Meek Mill). A classic Asher Roth beat, with heavy synth and deep lyrics delivered slowly so we can keep up with his wittiness. Sampling his own, “I Hate College” remix that catapulted him into superstardom, Sammy Adams is back with a new video montage shot with a super 8 camera that debuted on VEVO in anticipation of his major label release with Sony/RCA. While productions details are scarce, Sammy is rumored to be working with Pharrell. While in Dallas, we had the opportunity to listen to his highly anticipated “Only One” single, an insanely catchy anthem dedicated to finding that special someone. One thing is for certain, come album release time, Sammy Adams will deliver a project worth phoning home about.

A few days ago, Snoop Dogg was handed a slip of paper that would change the face of the modern world forever. On it were the username and password to a Soundcloud account — an account long forgotten and gathering dust, an account more unloved and underutilized than so many Myspace pages of yore. We don’t know how this account came into existence (from the looks of page 7, it was set up by his management team about a year ago), but these details are unimportant now. Because for whatever reason, on this fated March morning, Snoop Dogg set out to make his Soundcloud the greatest effing Soundcloud on the planet.
I’m not kidding when I say that. This is one of the most epic and entertaining things I’ve come across in a long time. My running theory is that Snoop Dogg hit 47 js and then parked himself in front of his computer for 15 hours, just uploading without so much as a bathroom break. I’ve been sitting at work going through this thing and it’s literally a goldmine — there are rough cuts, studio outtakes, instrumentals that are far from finished, remakes of some of his older tracks, and then total curve balls like this hour long disco-funk-electro-tinged-slow-jam-heavy mix that I can’t even do justice to in words. It’s a weird but wonderful insight into his creative process, and the best part is that everything up there is a free download. If you’ve been in need of a good Snoop Dogg fix since 2004, this is your moment. And even if you haven’t been, do yourself a favor and check his stuff out anyway. All the major musical foodgroups are covered: “SNOOPADELIC MIXX,” “BLOWFLY G SHIT,” and, of course, just…”GOOD MUSIC.”

The tranquilizing tunes of Aer are always a refreshing change from what we’re typically used to hearing from todays up and comers. Maintaining the mellow sound they’ve had since the beginning, David and Carter are just two laid back dudes having a hell of a lot of fun making music fans can relate to. Sidney Samson has given out this remix of J Lo and Pitbull’s hit single “Papi” that is a change of pace from the very bleepy, dutch house he has been doing of late. While I cannot say I am the biggest Sidney Samson fan, one cannot deny his impact on the founding of Dutch House and impact on EDM in general, but this track shows his production skills with a heavy electro style that everyone will be able to enjoy.
