808 Trap for the win from M!NT and Ben Samples. This is what most Trap should sound like. I can’t stand listening to a song full of bleeps, bloops, and blips with the artist calling that Trap. If that is actually Trap then my phone is just as good of a producer as the rest when I get texts. This original is piece of art, massive props to Samples and M!NT.

A video that I’ve had to keep on the DL for about a month now, Keep It Real, has finally dropped. I’ve been itching to share it with you all, but on the orders of Kyle’s camp, I had to wait till Valentine’s Day. Although it isn’t really a Valentine’s Day song(and it’s not really Valentine’s Day), it’s still pretty freaking awesome. Kyle has a knack for catchy hooks, and always finds the right producers to sculpt the feel that he creates with his lyrics, on this song, the infamous DJ Carnage. I see too many people posting and calling him a “wannabe Drake,” which I disagree strongly. It seems ridiculous that people see a rapper using a certain style, in this case, rapping and singing, and then call everyone else who uses that style, a wannabe. With Hurricane Sandy’s impending doom of the North East on its way, I was thinking about a Hurricane party. Doug Bogan just happened to drop a track today prefect for such an occasion. I was expecting to listen to a mashup of some sort, in a way I was right, but I was wrong in the best way. Doug uses many vocals we all can recognize from past hits, but what really caught my attention was the instrumental. I am calling this a ‘Hurricane Banger.’ Don’t waste anymore time. Hit up the liquor stores before they are gone and hook up some massive speakers to car batteries, it’s time to rage.

This is exactly what I need to keep my Summer amped up. Noise Punk is calling this a Summer Anthem and there is no doubt that is what he got out of this original. The name of the track says exactly what we should all be doing. It’s Summer and most importantly Saturday, so honor the day and yourself by enjoying the rest of your weekend.

This song is bomb in so many ways that you just have to purchase it. After his Allderdice mixtape, Wiz gives us this brand new cut from his album, which is due out in August. Wiz goes hard on this one, like B.A.R./Kush & OJ hard, and this beat isn’t lacking either, produced by Benny Blanco and StarGate. Throw this on the weekend playlist and get ready to hear it on the radio, a lot.

Almost debated calling this R Rated, the VIP post. Considering how many sick VIPs Sev and I have gathered for this week. The first VIP in this post will surely stir up the people. It is transcoded to 320 and tops out at about 16khz, but sounds pretty sick. Knife Party stated that they would never release this VIP, so this is as good as it gets…and damn, does it get good.

Third and last VIP is from an artist called CTwo. He is not a big name what so ever, but it was more that I kind of stumbled upon his tracks. He does a sick job, and this new VIP of his is nasty.

The irony of this track is that Sev introduced me to it, but he wasn’t a fan of it. I can see why someone wouldn’t like, then it dropped and I had a change of heart.

OMG & Shockwave dropped this monster a few days, but it isn’t built like any other dubstep track. The drop doesn’t just happen. The bass synths are used in a way to accent the main beat of the track, happening in between portions of it.

This weeks throwback in my opinion is one of the greatest things Excision and Datsik have ever done. I heavily debated adding this to the dubstep essentials DJ Coman and I dropped back in August, but it didn’t seem to fit the rest of the tracks on the list.
