Another “Drunk In Love” remix you say? Yes, I reply. Absolutely, yes. “Drunk In Baltimore” is a funky, club-ready record from D.C. based producer, Obeyah. Featuring a select few sped-up vocals from Beyonce, the song certainly spins the original on it’s head and keeps you fist-pumping for it’s full three and a half minute duration. And it’s this excitement and energy that Obeyah has been able to bring to countless shows and events including the Mad Decent Block Party, and an opening gig for RL Grime.

Obeyah doesn’t add any unnecessary fluff to the record, the production is simple, refreshing, and enjoyable. Grab this download and spice up your Monday night a bit.

I’ve heard a lot of “Drunk In Love” remixes lately, but this is the first I’ve heard of The Weeknd’s rendition – and that’s not the only thing that makes this tune stand out. With Humpday Heater number five, Andrew Luce has created yet another show-stopper for you to throw at the top of your playlist, taking a drippy, trapped-out take on the Beyonce track. A must listen and download, turn up the bass, try to prepare yourself for two different, hard-hitting drops, and enjoy!

How fitting for throwback Thursday, 21 year old DJ/Producer Shmallen releases “Tell Me” a deep house record that samples the popular Destiny’s Child track “Independent Women,” morphing Beyonce’s vocals for extra effect. The production is silk, and  one thing’s for certain, this tune was made to dance sexy to with the lights off. If you’re about that deep house life, consider yourself served, and make sure you add this one to your playlist. This is a must listen and a must download!

Hip-Hop, RnB | Drake Ft. James Fauntleroy – Girls Love Beyonce

Drake Ft. James Fauntleroy - Girls Love BeyonceDrake isn’t wrong, girls absolutely love Beyonce. He can’t lie though, we all know he likes Beyonce as well, seeing as he has performed Destiny’s Child’s “Say My Name” live a few times now. Honestly, I think Roc Nation’s James Fauntleroy does the hook much better. This has nothing to do with if I think Beyonce or Destiny’s Child sucks, but since the originals release recording systems have improved greatly. James Fauntleroy’s voice portrayed a lot of emotion through just those few lines in addition to Drake’s clearly improved ability to tell a story, leaving us with an incredible free download. Much respect for Drake and how he has gone about releasing his new works. If you haven’t the chance to listen to them, I highly recommend you give each a chance.
