The newest Freebie from Play Me Records, DarkElixir created a gem of a remix. Lovestep at its finest, and damn is this remix fine. DarkElixir just dropped a single on beatport today. It’s called Grand Prix and is one filthy track, grab it on Beatport if you feel so inclined. This hot remix of Lost In You, is the highlight of my day though. It is beautiful. This song is absolutely massive, like the size of the sun massive. The combination of vocals from Shermanology, who did vocals for “Blessed” with Avicii and have collaborated with Fedde le Grand, Chocolate Puma as well as Afrojack previously; have created a song that will be heard all around the world in clubs, cars, festivals and everywhere in between. Afrojack toned down the bleepy dutch house that we heard in “Lost & Found Vol. 2” and gave us an infectious, pitched, synth driven electro / progressive house instrumental that you cannot help but love and want to dance to. A subtle piano melody underneath the vocals in the build puts everything together in this song. Get this track on BEATPORT.

With a sensitive, smooth build that gradually crescendos with increasing intensity into a break of pulsing synths and pounding bass. Ferry Corsten previews another single to be released February 24th, from his much anticipated up coming album “WKND” that features his collaboration with Armin van Buuren “Brute”
Though this song may be more of a house song than a trance song because of its 128 bpm and its sound, it is still a massive remix. An easy build with sensitive female vocals drops suddenly into an energetic, pulsing, pitched synth break. The vocals are addictive and the energy in the song is incredible. Get it on BEATPORT.

This next remix from Duderstadt has been much supported from industry leaders like of Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten and Above & Beyond. It takes the widely successful track from Markus and mixes in an uplifting synth melody with a varying bass beat. Sander van Doorn has gone with Tiesto from his traditional uplifting trance sound into the realm of progressive house and has been incredibly successful. Though he still holds on to his roots in trance and you can hear a strong influence of trance in many of his songs, especially on his latest CD “Eleve11”, his foray into progressive house has been a huge success with songs such as “Koko”, “Who’s Wearing The Cap”, “Drink To Get Drink” and others. This song features a strong bassline, a sensitive piano melody in the build and a great synth breakdown, with some quality female vocals. Definitely a must have for all fans of house.
