House | Avicii & Nicky Romero – ID (feat. Justice’s D.A.N.C.E.)
Posted by GMONEY on November 28, 2011
High Quality rip of Avicii and Nicky Romero’s new collaboration (different one than the preview originally posted a while ago). This track is also falling under the moniker “ID” as it has not been officially named according to Avicii’s facebook post this morning. TRACK IS HUGE! The D.A.N.C.E vocals from Justice are perfectly sandwiched in between two gigantic electro/progressive style drops. Also love the strings they used for the build ups. Who doesn’t love strings?
DJ-Set, Preview, Videos | Avicii live @ Super Glow DC Washington Armory
Posted by Middy on November 27, 2011
I included the video at the show for what is being called “ID2” because it is so good and w8 already posted the now confirmed collaboration between Nicky Romero & Avicii, which is the first song in the set. Here is the 3 hour set from Avicii from the previous weekend at the DC Armory with a crowd of 10,000, put on by Glow DC. I have seen Avicii 3 times this year, looking forward to a fourth, and I would say this is an outstanding Avicii set by all measures. He plays a whole host of upcoming tracks by himself and others, as well as brand new releases from Alesso, Michael Calfan and many classics he has been playing for months. If you are a fan of Avicii, you will want to check out this 3 hour set from start to finish. Tracklist after the jump.

Electro, Preview, Trance | Kyau & Albert – Are You Fine (Arty Remix)
Posted by W8 on November 22, 2011
Avicii above with yet another gem added to his collection, let the waiting frenzy begin. Now onto the main attraction – Arty! I first heard this track played by Alesso and immediately was desperate for answers. Needless to say Arty is one of the few that let his standards be known consistently and because of that on a path to greatness he is. Also, as an added bonus Audien’s Fusion Mix continues with exciting vibes.

Electro-House, Progressive House | Levels (Cazzette NYC Mode Mix) (Preview) & Spencer & Hill, Nadia Ali – Believe It (Cazzette’s Androids Sound Hot Remix)
Posted by Sev on November 21, 2011
If you haven’t heard of Cazzette by now, I’m going to assume you live under a rock. These guys have been making a name for themselves with their signature heavy electro synch bass driven sounds. They just finished up touring with Avicii and are now getting ready to release a series of tracks they haven’t had time to while on the tour. Keep an eye out for these guys in the near future, they are about to explode. Remember where you heard it from. Be sure to like their Facebook page.

Electro, Preview | Preview, Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman, R.I.O. ft. U-Jean, Mike Candys, & Denzal Park
Posted by W8 on November 16, 2011
Preview above sounds promising though it feels a bit out of the ordinary considering Tommy Trash’s usual schizophrenic drops that consume his track record. It made its way onto Tiesto’s set so it must have reached an echelon. Release date is set for November 21st as the video entails. As above, you should not expect anything less from what follows below. All these tracks will strike you as splashes of guranteed happiness – my personal niche of sound. The Swedes are dominating the electro scene hands down. Sweden must have an excessive amount of ley-lines running through there. They genetically breed anthems; their expectations exceed the rest of the globe in terms of electronic music. Dimitri Vangelis & Wyman from Stockholm have done a fantastic remix of Mikael Weermet’s track titled ‘Free’, who’s not living too far away in Göteborg. I’m still waiting on the release of his preview we posted earlier, which should be the finale of that segment of Adele remixes. Also, I’m a big fan of how the intro of this first track isn’t packaged with a mediocre beginning common among almost all electronic music.

It’s almost rude that credit is not given to Avicii for his hit record Levels by how blatantly obvious the inspiration behind this track is. Inspite of that, the cheeriness does win me over.

I excised out the start of this track to skip over the ever so generic intro of electronic music that you’ve heard well over a million times. Should you need the full version for whatever reason, drop me a line.
Download: Serge Devant – Sweet Harmony (Mike Candys Bootleg Rework) [W8 Edit]
I’m feeling this version a bit more than the original as it adds a little extra smile to the drop.

Electro, Interviews | Twibak: On The Rise
Posted by W8 on November 14, 2011
Coming from across the pond in Sweden, Twibak is set to carve out his unique path in the world of house music. Here is a brief interview with Twibak:
With so many genres to choose from, why electronic music?
I first was introduced to electronic music when I went off to study at university. I found Armin van Buuren’s ASOT and that helped me concentrate on studying. As time went on, I became more passionate about music.
The future looks bright for you, what do you envision?
Right now, the goal is to create remixes for other more established artists, and later release records under my own name. I’ve got a lot of passion for music. It’s more than just a hobby for me, so if I can continue making music, I’ll be happy to do so.
Earlier this year american magazine Joonbug gave Twibak and Avicii a shared first prize in a list of artists likely to watch out for.
”This will be Avicii’s other half, because this artist does not even have a track up on Beatport, but his recent mix of friend Martin Lundblad’s ID has exploded to popularity on internet blogs. Mainly progressive, Twibak’s catchy, swooning build ups are broken by a nicely harmonized electro bit, the kind popularized by Bob Sinclair, Dirty South, and David Guetta. Twibak is someone to watch for 2011, particularly with the number of superstar DJs coming out of Sweden.”
Twibak says he is inspired and appreciative of the recognition, and now works even harder thanks to it. The track below is a symbol of his talent and makes you ponder what his future may hold. I predict big things from this guy – you now know. (Martysounds also deserves credit on this track as well.)
