Aussie producer Golden Vessel released a remix/mashup of James Blake’s ‘I Need A Forest Fire (ft. Bon Iver), with ‘Drone Bomb Me’ by Anohni. The result is quite simply beautiful. The two blend together perfectly, creating a melodic atmosphere that moves along at just the right pace with the tracks brilliant percussion. From Golden Vessel: “Initially I really wanted to do a remix for a track off the new James Blake album, and ‘I Need a Forest Fire’ was the obvious choice. Aussie producer Donatachi just dropped a new track called “Bubblegum”, featuring the vocals of Melbourne songstress Rosebud Leach. Donatachi explained the track perfectly: “Rosebud and I both share are deep love for bubblegum pop and wanted to do a sickly sweet, exaggerated version of the genre in this song. We wanted it to sound like Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask’s first dance at prom.” “Bubblegum” is beautiful, uplifting, and extremely catchy, with Donatachi’s production perfectly complimenting Rosebud Leach’s gorgeous vocals. A little late on this one but in case you missed it last week, Aussie vixen Alison Wonderland dropped her latest track titled “I Want U,” produced by none other than Djemba Djemba. This track exhibits Alison’s sultry sound perfectly paired with DD’s basstastic flair. The visual pairing is, might I say considerably dark, and may throw you off at first but will eventually make you want to strobe the lights and behave erratically in your bedroom as well. Turn it up.
