The Mozart of Moldova, the prince of trance, whatever you wish to call Andrei Rata, known professionally as, Andrew Rayel, it is abundantly clear the talent that is possessed by the 21 year old phenom. He has become the hottest up and coming talent in trance right now, with his tunes consistently being supported by your usual suspects of top DJs, culminating in a spectacular collab “Eiforya” alongside the trance Jesus himself, Armin van Buuren.
We were lucky enough to catch Andrew Rayel before his debut set here in NYC last Thursday and chat about being a college student, the upcoming album and much more. His set was a thing of beauty. 3 hours of nonstop action from start to finish, Rayel had a packed house all the way until the end of his set a little before 4am. His set included the fast paced styled mixing and loads of exclusive mashups that he is always making fresh, including one between “Bigfoot” and “Ping Pong” that really set the tone early on. He has become known for his gigantic melodies in the trance realm and has translated that to unofficial remixes for big time prog tracks like “In My Mind”, “Reload” and a new one “Under Control”.
His artist album that you can see the teaser art below is set to hit stores near you at the very of May. Get ready because it is going to be something very special and not your standard club fanfare you see elsewhere. This will be different. Also can anyone figure out the last word? I have “Find Your H_ _ _ O _ _” and can’t figure out the last word.

The king and the prince. The god of trance and the mozart of Moldova. When a trance legend and soon to be one come together on one tune, you know that there is going to be something special created. It has the vintage Andrew Rayel kickdrum and melodically inclined synth work, held together by the masterful handiwork of Armin van Buurn. This is another absolute coup for W&W’s Mainstage Music, after they released Markus Schulz’s massive tune “Remember This”, the highlight from his recent “Scream 2” album. “EIFORYA” will be included in Armin van Buuren’s upcoming A State Of Trance 2014 compilation, set for release on March 28th.

Dash Berlin have been a master of vocal trance for several years now, and with this effort the trio prove that once more. Tabbing Russian trance producer, Alexander Popov, Dash Berlin’s two producers give us the big, uplifting melodies you would expect from them, with the genre blending sound known from Alexander Popov, all accentuated by a soaring top line from Mendelsohn. This is to be included in the upcoming deluxe edition of #musicislife, which has another unreleased track and some new remixes from Michael Brun and Andrew Rayel, among others.

So this track came out of absolutely NO WHERE. My jaw hit the floor when I saw Armin tweet this preview and I have yet to pick it up after hearing it. This is pure unabated trance that we saw from Arty from his Alpha 9 days and sprinkled in after. Bask in the pure bliss of this track and get ready for its release on February 14th as a part of the 10 edition of A State Of Trance compilation. Speaking of said compilation, the tracklist was released today and it is monstrous. With new tracks from Armin & W&W (what?!), JOC, BT, Gaia, Heatbeat, Andrew Rayel, Omnia, Aly & Fila and many more, this will be a must have for any trance fan. Two music mondays have passed, so we have had a small taste of what to expect from this fresh year, but we are here to steer your wayward watches towards 13 bright stars who are going to be making some serious noise in 2013. For some reason I’m only just getting to the magnificent feat of editing and mixing that is Armin van Buuren’s 2012 Yearmix. Armin spent close to a month chopping and refashioning 101 of the year’s top trance tunes into one blissful, continuous two hour mix that aired on A State of Trance at the end of December. Diehards will have already heard this in its entirety, but I’m calling your attention to it now in the event that it got lost in the holiday shuffle because it’s not something to miss. Not only does it provide an excellent and diverse cross section of the year in trance, but Armin’s unparalleled technical mastery is on display to the fullest extent (I cannot stress enough how agile, seamless, and creative his transitions are — if you have any sort of familiarity with these tracks, he’ll have you in total awe in about three minutes).
