Hip-Hop | Chance The Rapper & The Social Experiment – Home Studio (Back Up In This B***H)
Posted by dshaq on March 26, 2014
I think it’s funny when people start listening to Chance and are all like “YOO have you heard this Chance the Rapper guy?! He’s so dope like all of his music is tight”. Chance’s reach has hit full effect and he is one of the hottest MC’s on the rise and I couldn’t be any happier for him. After Acid Rap and 10Day, it’s very refreshing to hear new sounds from Chance to hold us over until the next anticipated project. Home studio features a different type of Chano flow, that similar to Vic’s “Feel That”, and if it’s any indication on where his sound might be going then it can only go up from here. Holler at the song below & SAVEMONEY.

I haven’t been this excited for a mixtape since Chance dropped Acid Rap, and we all know how that one turned out. Anywho, Flatbush ZOMBiES released their brand spanking new 19 track mixtape with two features, Action Bronson and Danny Brown. These guys are the next ones to blow, especially after seeing them at North Coast Music Festival Labor Day weekend. Peep the tape below and make sure to download it as well.
Hip-Hop, Rap | Chance The Rapper – Everybody’s Somebody’s Everything (Video)

What can be said about a man who has already had so much said about him? Chance the Rapper has the whole world watching his every move, judging the music, the videos, and him as a person. However, through all of this he’s managed to keep a level head, even if that is partially accredited to the drugs he takes.
“Everybody’s Somebody’s Everything” was surely a standout track on Acid Rap, with Chance singing/rapping in a brash manor, yet with a positive sentiment. And, after having his army of loyal fans get the title to trend worldwide, he unleashed the Austin Vesely produced video to accompany. The video doesn’t disappoint, and although the song is lacking the third verse from Saba which was originally on the tape, the added piano melody tacked on to the end is a good substitution.
Enjoy the video, and check out the ever-so-promoted ChanceRaps.com for everything you’ll need to know about young Chancellor.
Featured, Hip-Hop, Mixtapes | Chance The Rapper – ACID RAP (Official Mixtape)

Its finally here. One of 2013’s most highly anticipated mixtapes has finally come out and it certainly does not disappoint. The transition from Chance’s first mixtape, 10Day, to ACID RAP not only shows his maturation as an artist but also how he has taken the internet by storm. Coming out of Chicago at the same time as Chief Keef may have seemed like a setback for Chance, however he has used that to the best of his ability showing the versatile rap scene that Chicago has to offer. I remember it like yesterday when my friends started to put me on to Chance, and I can’t thank them enough. Something about Chance and his music is just so easy to connect to and I couldn’t get enough of it. It was crazy to think that 10Day was his first intro to the rap scene. I craved that soul sound that I found on his Prom Night, Hey Ma, and Juke Juke tracks but when I listened to the rest of 10Day, I also connected to his slow sounding raps with You Got Me Fucked Up, Nostalgia, and Brain Cells. Chance’s best attribute is his versatility, but with Acid Rap we can see he’s starting to create his signature sound. When Smoke Again came out the other day, I was like “HOLY S*%T this beat bangs” then all of the sudden the beat dropped and he began singing over the beat instead of a hard hitting verse. I think that really embodies Chance. While I might want some more hard hitting verses, this is Chance’s project and its exactly what he wants.
I was lucky enough to be around Chance a lot this last summer and get to know him a little better. I think it’s funny when people say that most of these guys are just like us, I usually don’t believe it, but with Chance it held true. He’s just a normal Chicago kid that loves to make music and knows that that is what he wants to do for his life. I went to KCMO for his show with Childish Gambino and got to experience Chance as a person rather than as a rapper that I loved and really got to know that he is a laid back, genuine, and very funny person. While I clearly have a lot of love for Chance and his music, I know that he deserves all the attention he gets. The sky is the limit for Mr. Bennett and I’m really excited to see where he goes. #SAVEMONEY
Hip-Hop, Videos | Smoke Again – Chance the Rapper feat. Ab-Soul (Video)

Nothing better to hype up your already highly anticipated mixtape than a brand new video and a brand new track. Chance had the opportunity to link up with the likes of illRoots (directed the video), Ab-Soul, and Skrillex on his latest trip to LA, and I had the opportunity to hear some of the stories. Let’s just say I hope Chance goes out to LA again soon. The song itself is just another example of why Chance is the next big thing. Chance’s lyrics are on another level, evidenced by “lean all on the square, that’s a fucking rhombus,” as some body who failed geometry, even I could appreciate that line. The video, filmed by the great people of illRoots, is original and awesome, and captures the mood of the song perfectly. Check out the video above and be on the lookout for Acid Rap, April 30th.

Chance drops off the fourth and most likely final single due for his upcoming mixtape, ACID RAP. Given $5000 for the video, Chance and Hannibal Burress navigate downtown LA and see what $5000 can get them. The beat is a nice relaxing one that emphasizes Chance’s flow. Big things for Chance in the future. Acid Rap coming to you on the 30th.
