Kap Slap has become one of those artists whose new releases are eagerly awaited by many, MANY fans around the world. The latest release on the world renowned Ultra Records is “Harbor”, a track from the man himself featuring the singer songwriter Jake Etheridge. “Harbor” is one of those rare tracks that is perfect to cap off summer, to listen to while relaxing at home, or to dance to at a club. Whilst he initially built a vast following for his in-demand mash-ups and mixes, 2016 has so far proved Kap Slap’s status as a truly multitalented producer and DJ. Kap Slap’s “Harbor” tour is going on now, and with 25 dates across the US, you definitely need to catch him when he’s in town.

Shadow Child is practically a house hold name in dance music. His remix of “Hotter Than Hell” is a staple in mid 2010’s sounds that we’ve all come to love. The solo DJ/Producer has teamed up with Point Blank to give fans and producers an extremely detailed look as to how he formed the track “Dua Lipa – Hotter Then Hell (Shadow Child Remix)”. The British voice guiding you through the experience isn’t half-bad on it’s own. Why are their voices so good?

Fresh off the release of his debut EP and latest single, Aash Mehta just dropped his flip/edit of The Chainsmokers & Halsey’s “Closer”. It combines futuristic chords with a vocal-chop melody and even some sweet live guitars to create something that pays homage to the original but is still unique in its own way. This one is a must listen, as Aash Mehta continues to put his stamp on an already successful 2016 for the young 21-year-old. In this FNT interview, Bricks breaks down where his house roots came from, why he makes what he does (which is fluid dark hip-hop-influenced house that totally suites 2016, check out previous posts on our site), and so much more. How would you describe your style?
Brian: I’d describe it as a collection of all the styles that have influenced me through out my life. It’s combination of House, Miami Bass and Hip Hop. I add the groove of house to the raw 808 miami bass sound, then work in some vocal chopping and analog 80’s synths, and out comes up the Bricks sound.
Bass, House | Bricks Breaks New Ground With First Release “Get Down”

LA based Bricks is starting fresh.”Get Down” is his first release, showcasing a unique balance of electronic music elements that are new as well as familiar aesthetics layered. My favorite part of the experience is the light horn melody. Before you know it, the Diplo-style vocal sample takes over and the drop hits.
The style is different, kind of like a chill bass house with trap-like elements, hard to pinpoint exactly, but a unique feeling is delivered.
Rumor has it Bricks has many more tracks under his belt and will be release some soon. Keep your eye out for him as we get deeper in 2016.
