Dubstep, Glitch, Preview | Audeka – Dice N’ Flow (Disprove Remix)
Posted by Mach on August 5, 2013
Caliber Music has had a few quality releases now in addition to Kursa’s new “SDBN” EP. Disprove shows off his funky bass skills, taking you on a wild ride. His style makes me think of older KOAN Sound tracks, with a heavy bass and a synth that sounds like a heavily plucked guitar. This remix is set to release with a remix from Spwee on August 24th.
Preview, Progressive House | The Aston Shuffle – Can’t Stop Now (Special Features Remix) [Preview]
Posted by Middy on July 31, 2013
It took about 800 edits to get this track just right, but when Special Features got it, he did it right. It has been a slow year for him waiting on remixes to clear and labels to release tracks, but now The Aston Shuffle give him the chance to shine on their remix package for “Can’t Stop Now”. Set for release September 16th, the remix features Special Feature’s bright synths that mesh very well with the original vocals, taking this indie dance track to the dance floor. Look for a Matisse & Sadko remix to come August 30th on Spinnin and a Ta-Ku remix as part of this package on September 16th, with potentially 6 more to come. The original is out now.
Preview, Progressive House | Vicetone – Tremble (Preview)
Posted by Middy on July 24, 2013
It has been 363 days since I first posted their first ever releases — a batch of remixes for Adele, Flo Rida and Calvin Harris. Now they are circling the world, playing festivals and getting a release on Protocol Recordings. Vicetone are for real and have been since day one. “Tremble” is vintage Vicetone, with powerful synth chords, and an emotive string-led build, all wrapped into a well-produced track, as always that shows just how polished these guys are. Check back August 5th for the full release.
Preview, Progressive House | Pierce Fulton ft. Polina – Where We Were (Preview)
Posted by Middy on July 23, 2013
Readers of FNT need no intro to Pierce Fulton by now. We are here to present the preview for his latest single “Where We Were” with Polina on vocals. Continuing his strong relationship and contractual obligations with Mark Brown’s Cr2 Records, Pierce Fulton returns to the label that helped launch his career and has been the focal point for most of his single releases. The track evokes an understated big room feel that is accentuated by Polina’s outstanding vocal. The song will be released in less then two weeks time on August 5th.
Preview, Progressive House | Don Diablo & Matt Nash – Starlight (Could You Be Mine) [Preview]
Posted by Middy on July 22, 2013
A staple of Axwell’s sets for the past few months, the Swedish superstar wastes no time and reveals another track from his arsenal of highly coveted tracks in the Axtone reserves. With “Reverie” still a prominent feature in festival sets worldwide, look for Axtone to shine once again with their quality releases. Watch for the release on Friday and in the future keep an eye out for a remix from Otto Knows.
House, Preview | Disclosure – F For You (Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs Remix) [Preview]
Posted by Spice on July 16, 2013
Mark my words: 2013 will go down as the summer of Disclosure. Settle has already taken the blogosphere/world by storm, so it’s not terribly surprising that high profile remixes are beginning to pop up.
With “F For You,” the consummate niche-occupier/genre-defier better known as TEED takes an already great song and ramps it up about seven levels. Where Disclosure’s original is tight, polished, and crisp to a fault, TEED’s is spacey, a bit dark, and hypnotically stripped down. Damn. I might like this more than the original, and I like the original quite a bit. Keep your eyes peeled for a release date — not shocking/almost fitting that this went up without one.
Preview, Progressive House | Steve Angello VS. Matisse & Sadko – SLVR (Preview)
Posted by Middy on July 15, 2013
I have been waiting forever for this song. The fitting, landmark 100th release release on Steve Angello’s Size Records, SLVR (pronounced “Silver”), is as colossal as all the releases that have come before it. This is why it is fine that Swedish House Mafia broke up, because then we can have songs like this. Look for it August 12th. Also have to love Pete Tong’s new shout “Pete Tong first play, don’t be jealous he got it first”
