Electro, Preview | Nelly Furtado – Parking Lot (Kill Paris Remix)

Posted by on October 7, 2012

Kill Paris is back with another heavy and funky dance jam. He has finally started to get attention from labels, about time they caught on to his great skills. This official remix of his is releasing through Interscope Records, talk about a big move. The remix uses Nelly Furtado’s vocals is a very fun way, further powering the funkiness of this track. I have a feeling this remix will be big, it just delivers the right vibes to break-out, dance, and have a great time.

Electro-House, Preview | FootwoRk & PoundPoundPound – The Moment

Posted by on September 25, 2012

Danceability is always the key to good vibes. When it comes to Electro-House tracks, I am always a huge fan of the tracks that have a little Disco funk in them. Both hailing from Indiana, FootwoRk & PoundPoundPound (###) delivered an incredible dancing original. “The Moment,” is exactly what you live in while this plays, you will lose yourself in these 3 and a half minutes. FootwoRk & PoundPoundPound’s upcoming EP is releasing soon, not soon enough if you ask me.

House, Preview, Progressive House | Henrix: Miami Heaters EP Vol. 1 (Preview)

Posted by on September 24, 2012

Henrix has been on a roll lately with his single “Let’s Rave” on Mixmash getting support from DJs far and wide including by Laidback Luke during his appearance on Pioneer DJ Sounds (seriously watch and take notes if you are a DJ), as well as his upcoming single with GTA & Digital lab getting preliminary support from Kaskade, Laidback Luke, Steve Angello & Tiesto, (look for a major label deal on this one), Henrix is establishing himself as a name to be reckoned with. The EP, which will be released next Monday, features a whole range of productions from the percussive heavy “Encore” and “Bonkers” to the more progressive “Destiny” to the more genre fusing tracks in “Are You Ready”. With the aforementioned support and this free EP getting ready to make waves next Monday, October 1st, Henrix is going to be a name to watch for the end of 2012 and into 2013.

Preview, Progressive House | Those Usual Suspects & Nordean ft. Erik Hecht – Burn Forever (Michael Brun Remix) [Preview]

Posted by on September 21, 2012

Michael Brun is getting himself ready to make a big splash at the end of this year with some big releases on Phazing Records. Not only has he teamed up with Label boss and chief from down under, Dirty South on their upcoming single “Rift“, but he now has a remix coming out soon of Those Usual Suspects & Nordean with Erik Hecht on vocals (remember them from “Walking Alone”?). It is great to see the Haitian producers’s becoming more mature and evolve as he becomes a bigger player, one with lasting potential in the dance music scene.

House, Preview | [Preview] Dirty South & Michael Brun – Rift

Posted by on September 17, 2012

Don’t know the story behind the song title, because after listening to just a snippet of this upcoming track there is obviously no ‘Rift’ between Australian EDM-mainstay Dirty South and rising star/potential protégé Michael Brun. What a banger! Sort of reminds me of Arty’s now famous edit of Ferry Corsten’s ‘Punk’ with it’s aggressive synths and it’s ground-thumping bass. According to Dragan, the track is coming out very soon, but as we all know too well EDM release dates are so nebulous that one can never know when a song will ACTUALLY be let loose to the public. We’ll let you know when we know!

Preview, Progressive House | The Killers – Runaways (Pierce Fulton Remix) [Preview]

Posted by on September 10, 2012

Piece Fulton follows his official remix for Usher’s single “Scream” and his outstanding performance to start Electric Zoo with an official remix of the lead single “Runaways” off of The Killer’s upcoming album “Battle Born”. This remix lends itself to the more melodic side of Pierce’s sound, creating a well oiled melody to match the vocals from “The Killers”. This is not going to be one of Pierce Fulton’s hard hitting club offerings, but rather more of a soothing addition to his discography. If you are an AMEX member, you can get this now for free at the link below.
