Since its inception in 2012, the EDMbiz Conference & Expo has led the charge for both industry executives and hopefuls, as it’s one of the largest gatherings of the entire dance music ecosystem, from influential power players, to international artists, to aspiring industry hopefuls. Taking place June 16-18, EDMbiz offers three days of keynote presentations, panel discussions, and networking opportunities, as industry leaders like Pasquale Rotella, CEO of Insomniac, and Mike Darlington, CEO of Monstercat, come together to discuss dance music and its current happenings. In addition to two brand new contests, the Insomniac-hosted conference has announced the first phase of their programming, including panels, keynote sessions, and speakers. Mysteryland USA and T-Mobile USA are presenting all-new, exclusive features to the 22-year-old festival that’s come stateside for it’s second year this weekend. The companies are teaming up to bring an online streaming service to Mysteryland for the first time: “Mysteryland Live Stream, Un-leashed™ By T-Mobile.” This new concept will allow fans from all over the world to tune in to the festival madness of Mysteryland through their smartphones and computers. Hosted on Beatport Live, the streaming will be happening on Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24 at 6:00 PM (EDT). Fans will get the chance to experience the legendary and longest-running dance festival through this one-of-a-kind service. The streaming will include live sets from performing artists Diplo, A-Trak, Dillon Francis, Gramatik, Josh Wink, and many more, as well as exclusive interviews and behind-the-scene shots of the arts and cultural programming of the festival. Additionally, T-Mobile customers attending Mysteryland will be provided with exclusive perks, including faster and easier access to the festival grounds as well as access to a premium, VIP deck overlooking the Main Stage. While the dawn of summer in America is the unofficial kickoff to festival season, summer in Europe signals the beginning of Ibiza’s renowned pool party season. Each year, hundreds of thousands of passionate dance music fans make the trek to the dance-centric island off of the coast of Spain to catch one of the many superstar DJs who hold a residency at one of Ibiza’s many nightclubs. This week, Hardwell announced his return to Ibiza for his second summer residency at the Ushuaia Beach Hotel, the world’s largest open air nightclub. Picking up right where he left off at the end of 2014, Hardwell is bringing an exclusive event series to the island paradise – Hardwell’s Carnival.
Featuring a handpicked lineup of exciting, up-and-comers in addition to a slew of superstar DJs as well, Hardwell’s Carnival will be a show by the Dutch titan that has never been seen before. Stilt walkers, masquerades, and carnage-creators will all be venturing around Ushuaia, much like any regular carnival. Hardwell’s Carnival kicks off on June 23rd, and will take place every Tuesday, and you can get tickets here.
