LA-based Justin Jay has just released his 3 track EP on Pets Recordings, Momentum, and the young producer really pulled out all the stops to show us that he can produce every kind of deep. Long-time fans of the rising artist will be ecstatic to hear “How I Knew” for its intricate funk and bass elements that are also present in “Momentum.” With the title track, Justin Jay and Kill Frenzy channel their inner dark sides to spawn a creation that is meant for those warehouse parties where you don’t know what time it is that resonates closely to their previous collaboration. Finally, “You Give Me Butterflies” makes us never want to grow up because Justin Jay uses his airy synths and wistful FXs to make us truly feel those butterflies inside. I haven’t come across a soothing deep house track like this in a minute. Mixed with a subtle cinematic wave in the background, Beauriche puts us in a state of meditative trance. This track will no doubt be on repeat for me and makes for the perfect tune for those who look to syncopate their work outs or study grinds to music that motivate personal levels of efficiency.

Simple and elegant – two words to describe this remix. I absolutely love how The Golden Pony maintained the original vocals and incorporated the fresh saxophone sounds that are becoming associated with the deep house genre. This one leaves a heavy impression on your mind, so much that you’ll be tempted to give it a few more plays before you can transition to the next song on your playlist.

Featured earlier this morning on “Heldeep Radio” which is a religion here at FreshNewTracks HQ, Garreth Maher and Forbes team up on “You Don’t Know” to create a deep house ripper of epic proportions. This is one of those dark deep house tunes that I can imagine some UK youth cutting shapes to in some random warehouse party. Can’t get enough of this tune. Electric!

The string plucks are organized eloquently as Larrykoek masterfully introduces and evaporates pitches, bass lines, and melodic sounds. The track will take you back to summer, or at this rate, warm you up for the season as it’s right around the corner. Lighten up your Thursday with ‘Premiere Fois’.

Salt Ashes hits again with “Raided,” a stellar dance record, or what she likes to call dark disco, from Brighton, UK, and I’m sold, from the quality of the production, to the seductive lyrics. This track is a modern club-friendly composition, but beware, this one isn’t for the light hearted. If you’re in the mood for dark disco, turn up the sound.
