Hip-Hop, RnB | Stwo – Wifey
Posted by Mach on June 9, 2013
Stwo uploaded this amazing R&B track a few days ago, sadly then it was only a preview. Today I am happy to be posting this track with a download. Stwo is an incredible producer, I have been addicted to his tracks for months now and every release gets better than the last. Don’t let this song or any other tracks from Stwo slip through your fingers, I have the feeling he is just getting started.

Hip-Hop, Preview, RnB | Miguel – Sure Thing (fwdslxsh Remix)
Posted by Mach on June 8, 2013
Fwdslxsh (forward-slash) has had the key to my R&B soul for months now. After W8 introduced me to his great music, I have made note to check everything he puts out. This is just one of his new previews and it is one of the best remixes of Miguel I have heard. The instrumentals make this track, the vocals don’t even matter. No word on the release of this track yet, but I highly recommend following Fwdslxsh.
RnB | Nylo – Fool Me Once

R&B at its finest. Besides the beautiful vocals that flood your ears, the instrumentals really push the mood of this track. Nylo out did herself with this, it is the cleanest progressions I have heard in a while.

RnB | The Weeknd – Wicked Games (Until The Ribbon Breaks Reimagination)
Posted by W8 on June 3, 2013
Always a pleasure finding good shit. That is, Pete Lawrie aka Until The Ribbon Breaks with an already impressive co-sign from the one and only ”I put oooon” – Jay-Z. ”I was born with my back to the stars. Turn me over. I would like to see.” says Pete. Metaphorically similar to how I ponder the good things to come from his future catalogue, that thought as my ethereal head nods to the rewinded visuals and smooth direction this particular track takes.

Cover, RnB, Videos | John Mayer – Slow Dancing in a Burning Room (SoMo Rendition)
Posted by J_Salzer on June 3, 2013
Another Monday morning, another chance for smooth singing, Joseph SoMo to boggle my mind with his latest cover. This week, he takes on a John Mayer tune. No easy feat, even for a singer of SoMo’s caliber. The result though, is astounding. Every track SoMo takes on, he meets it with emotion tenfold of the original. He finds ways to relate to the lyrics he’s singing, and tell his own story, even though he didn’t write it. But if you want something phenomenal that he DID write, check out his latest original here. Remember the name Joseph SoMo ladies and gentleman, and don’t forget it.
Cover, RnB | Spenz — Do Me Now (Cover)

We hardly ever post covers—so I guarantee this one is something special. My aversion partly has to do with the fact that I place so much value in songwriting, but also because it’s extremely rare to find one in which an artist actually adds something to the original. For most upstarts, covers essentially become replications—just a means of highlighting that they can also fill the space of an overproduced pop instrumental. But, on that rare occasion, I hear one that improves something that was missing on the original, or gives life to it in a unique way. Such is the case here, as Jamaican R&B artist Spenz reinterprets K. Roosevelt’s “Do Me Now”, which—even though it’s taking over radio right now—is underwhelming, given the quality of the Hit-Boy beat he received. Spenz provides that missing energy, smoothes out K. Roosevelt’s more staccato delivery, and adds some soul. You can expect to hear a lot more from this talented new artist in the coming months. In the meantime, keep up with him here.
Hip-Hop, Preview, RnB | ABGOHARD – Ass8 (4llsouls Remix)

Sex, really the only word I can think of to describe this preview. The vocals are a nice touch with this remix, but the instrumentals dominate my ears. Now, I’m not really into this “Ass8” stuff that’s being said, but I still wish this was more than a preview. I will be sure to update with a download when available, until then, enjoy listening.
