Now this is how you’re supposed to lose your EP virginity. Gorilla Warfare Tactics took the blogoshpere by storm last month with their leaks “Temptations” and “The Tale of Mr. Street” and although the former is probably the best cut off this tape, that certainly doesn’t mean this NYC based trio failed to delivered with the additional 5 tracks. Perhaps these guys will provoke a resurgence of old school hip hop sounds, at least amongst the ever growing population of up-and-coming artists. Head over to Facebook and “like” their Fan Page – their sub-2000 number doesn’t do them justice. (Note: I’ve kept the album art for these tracks/mixtape DL)

Talk about an all-star line up. The features on this mixtape are pretty impressive, although a few songs are just Travis Barker remixes, and the Whoo Kid tags are annoying. Nonetheless if you’re into the badass drums, and like the tracks below, then you should pick up this mixtape.

A few weeks ago when I first heard Moufy’s Twist it and Light It, I was really attracted to the catchy chorus and the laid back flow of the song. The following week Moufy hit us with Just a Dreamer, a completely different type of song in terms of lyrical content, where he spits nothing but raw emotion.
