Great beats, a good flow, and solid lyrics always equal a quality mixtape. Suffolk County native, Quiet Storm, gives us that recipe in his new mixtape, Name In Lights. The tape offers great variety with upbeat songs like “Rollin” and “La La La” but then changes and gives a chill laid back beats with ones such as “Good Days” and “Live it Up”. He even goes over Mac’s la la la from Mac’s KIDS mixtape. Overall a quality mixtape that you should definitely grab and look for more good things to come from Quiet Storm. Los releases his newest mixtape, The Crown Ain’t Safe, and it’s safe to say this mixtape will turn heads in the industry. With features from Jahlil Beats, XV, Twista, and DMX this is a must download project from the Baltimore native. One of the more lyrically gifted artists around today look for Los to explode on the rap scene in 2012.

B.o.B. unleashes his newest mixtape, EPIC: Every Play Is Crucial, packed with features from A list artists such as Eminem, Lil Wayne, T.I. & several more. Some of these tracks definitely sound like album material, but count on Bobby Ray to stay faithful to his fans and deliver a free project in preparation for his sophomore album, Strange Clouds. The project showcases all of B.o.B.’s styles and is surely a promising project leading up to the album in 2012.

Mac dropped this free mixtape in light of Black Friday. As he stated in the tweet above, this tape is full off old unreleased music from his younger days. Taking into consideration that the music is pretty old there are still a handful of nice tracks on this. Definitely worth the download if you’ve had too much of Blue Slide Park.

After all those leaks, it’s finally here. A very impressive 21 track mixtape from Mr. Posner, in which he gives us that old Brain Trust sound. He gets some great features, coming from Bei Maejor, Bun B, Casey Veggies, Machine Gun Kelly, and more. Definitely grab this tape and enjoy some great production, good verses, and Mike’s unique and great voice.

A couple months back when I introduced Elite to the FNT family, I explained his journey as producer and rapper along with his relationship with other artists such as J. Cole and Voli. Since then, Elite has released a few more singles in preparation for his first project as a solo hip-hop artist, Awaken, which he dropped just a week ago. It’s not fair to say his progression is overly evident because quite honestly the first time I heard him I was blown away. Everything from his voice, to the lyrics, to the hooks, to the production, to the delivery has always been on point. Awaken is a mixtape you ABSOLUTELY DON’T WANT TO SLEEP ON. Although it’s rooted with hip-hop, it almost has an alternative sound to it, similar to something OnCue may put together. Speaking of which, I’d love to hear a collab from these two.
I’ve highlighted a few cuts below if you’re looking for appetizers, but I highly suggest just skipping to the main entré and downloading the tape in full. #DreamVille
