Flo-Rida is an undeniable serial hitmaker, but his one flaw is that his songs may be too “commercial” for the more dance music-inclined fans. Well, NYC/Boston’s remix mastermind Kasum looks to bridge that gap with his official remix of Flo-Rida’s “I Don’t Like It, I Love It.” With a feet-shuffling, bouncing bassline and the original’s sing-a-long lyrics working together, Kasum once again fuses pop and EDM into complete bliss for his first official remix on Atlantic Records. The remix will be officially released on June 16th, but Kasum lets us have an early preview ith the full stream above.

This track goes hard, plain and simple. It’s extremely bouncy with a hint of grime.. the perfect recipe for a banger. Released on Spinnin’ Records and Premiered on Heldeep Radio, this Bougenvilla track is bound to blow up. I have a feeling you’ll hear it in some pretty big sets, so keep an eye out. Crank this tune loud and let your body do the rest.

Future House | Dave Winnel Takes Adam Lambert’s “Ghost Town” Up A Notch

Posted by on May 18, 2015

Building on the success of his “OKAY” remix that I played at AVENU here in Dallas, Sydney’s Dave Winnel is back with an official “Ghost Town” remix on Warner Music. Originally produced by Max Martin, who’s the king of pop music, “Ghost Town” is heavily influenced by the future house sounds that’s dominating the dance space. This is no shock, at contemporaries like Dr. Luke and Benny Blanco have regularly borrowed from the underground but I digress.

Dave Winnel really did this one justice. No release date yet. Keep your eye on this guy. Big remix.

Back at it again, Oliver Heldens returns to the output stream with another funky-fresh future house track named “Bunnydance.” Heldens’ style is one that is hard to avoid dancing too, and “Bunnydance” is no different. Once he gets the bass churning, there’s no turning back as the Dutch young gun keeps the percussion moving ahead and offsets it with a bouncing bassline. Oliver Heldens always manages to pump out fun-filled yet complex tracks that leave us in awe every time. “Bunnydance” will be released on Spinnin’ Records in full on May 18th.

One of my favorite upcoming acts The Golden Pony have remixed “Let You Go” by The Chainsmokers and did a fantastic job. This high energy bouncy house track is the perfect way to start you week. These guys continue to smash every single remix they are given, so its easy to see why everyone wants a the “Golden” touch per say. Stream and enjoy!

Covering what’s left of your favorite rap tunes of the 2000 era, Outkast’s “Roses” receives the remix treatment by PLS&TY, and he’s not going tropical house a la Matoma, he’s raising the bar, on his grown man shit, going future with it, with smooth tones of jazz to get us into the tune, and I’m feeling it. Palm Beach look out, cool is back! This is a must listen and a must download!

Future House | Pete Tong Previews Martin Solveig’s Brand New “+1”

Posted by on May 7, 2015

Ah, the plus one. A ubiquitous request made many a times by those in the “the scene”. Martin Solveig is likely no stranger to this request, as he’s toured the world and back with his infectious production and knack for knowing what’s next in dance music. Case and point: “+1” a future house tune previewed by BBC Radio 1’s Pete Tong that has groove written all over it. Building on the success of his massive “Intoxicated” with GTA, I suspect “+1” out on Spinnin’ Deep will see equally strong results on June 1st.
