The infamous Lido from Norway is back with a BIG remix of Bill Wither’s “Ain’t No Sunshine” and did remix justice to the timeless tune by infusing elements of trap, glitch, and overall dopeness! If I were Diplo, I watch my back, Lido is without a doubt on his way to being a household name if he keeps it up! Even major labels like Universal are starting to get worried as you may recall Lido’s “Latch” remix which set the internet on fire, and yet was taken down for copyright infringement. Don’t sleep on this record, this is a must listen!

My good friend Angus just put LA trio AndDrop on my radar and their latest remix of D!RTY AUD!O’s “Flame,” a mix of a trap and bass to get your Thirsty Thursday started early! Blending, elements of deep house, trap, and progressive house, to my ears at least, this track will fare well at your Summer parties, hard enough to hit, and light enough to keep the rager contained. I dig it, and I just want to point out that I also dig the bandana design on the cover, very G! This is a must listen and a must download!

Electro, Trap | Lorde – Tennis Court (Flume Remix)
Posted by dshaq on April 23, 2014
It seems so right that Flume would remix Lorde. Something about her voice and his beats just makes sweet sweet love to my ears. The build up, the drop, the vocals, just everything about this song is fire. I don’t think I need to say more except keep hitting repeat.
Mix, Trap | Jesse Slayter – The Future FM Mix
Posted by Middy on April 22, 2014
Louisiana native and LSU student, Jesse Slayter is not just a normal college student. While his peers were heading down to Buku Music & Arts Festival to see acts like Nas, Zedd, Kaskade and Chance The Rapper, he was also heading down for a totally different reason, to perform. His discography already reads like that of a seasoned vet and the artists who have supported him (Skrillex, Diplo, Valentino Khan, UZ, etc) make most of his peers envious. He recently dropped an exquisitely crafted mix that is some mid-tempo magic, switching between trap, sensual rnb influenced beats, and some moombah madness. He packs in a whole bunch of unreleased tunes, including his upcoming collab with Wuki.
Electronic, Trap | $aturn – Clift Hanger

As $aturn gains more and more attention I am becoming more and more impressed with the quality of work put out. This track has been floatin’ around the net for about a week as an exclusive release but now it’s officially released to Trap City’s record label Slimkat Records. It’s just too cool to pass up including it on FNT. “Clift Hanger” is fun and bouncy. The unique sounds and synth work are divine. Trap beats carry the floaty melody through ups and downs that will charm your ears. Luckily this track is available for free download if you’re diggin’ it!

Electro, Trap | Daytrip – Flight 43 (NYC)

Before deeming any new music as something special it needs to pass my three-stage exam. Make no mistake, this is not an easy feat as the song or artist must sound equally glorious through headphones, car speakers, and desktop speakers. This morning sealed the deal, and Daytrip has officially passed the test.
Their first official release is entitled “Flight 43”, and it seems quite fitting. The song builds for take-off, and cruises through an exciting ride –is there such thing as pleasant turbulence?– before finally slowing down to land, awaiting their next journey. Although it is the first song public on SoundCloud, it’s apparent the Daytrip duo is not new to making music. And, any look through their travel-log/tumblr will show you that this product has been a long time coming.
Daytrip’s sound is one that is difficult to pinpoint. While some may knock “Flight 43 (NYC)” for trying to do too much, I hear a song that is incredibly cohesive, despite its numerous experimental features. Listeners can hear a Jacuzzi/Mr. Carmack future-trap influence alongside a shredded guitar sample, all packaged in to an “ambitious powerhouse production” (Confusion, P&P).
In a day and age where music is becoming a “less is more” game, Daytrip is an exciting, unexpected and refreshing twist.
Chill, Trap | OZZIE – MARBLE FLOORS
Posted by BP on April 8, 2014

If you’re looking for some trap that is a little different, try “Marble Floors” by Ozzie. I’ve always been a big fan of Ozzie’s chill sound, and this track is yet another example of his creativity. Since I am just returning to writing for FNT from my spring break adventure in London, it’s only fitting that I show some support for this UK artist. This track is mellow with an underlying trap vibe. With altered vocals and lots of interesting sub melodies, this song will keep you intrigued listen after listen.
