Now this is just one of those trance combinations that you dream about. Arty is back to work with the legend Paul van Dyk on his studio album “Evolution”, delayed once more and now set to be released April 6th. This is the trance we used to get from Arty and what you expect from Paul van Dyk with some amazing female vocals to top it all off. This shows that Arty still has it in the realm of trance and whatever track he touches will be pure genius. This Paul van Dyk album is shaping up to be very interesting conglomerate of tracks with the progressive anthem “Verano“, “Eternity” a poppier track and now this trance masterpiece. Should be interesting to see how the rest of it all turns out. Also check out this interview with Paul van Dyk where he talks about the album including a drum and bass collaboration with arty?, his radio show and tears top 40 music a new one in the most calm and measured fashion. After the jump check out Mat Zo’s set from Group Therapy in Miami last night.
Progressive House, Trance | Cosmic Gate Remixes
Posted by Middy on March 23, 2012
First up is Cosmic Gate’s massive remix of Emma Hewitt’s single “Colours”. The single was already given remix treatment by the legend Armin van Buuren, the German trance duo gives it a go with this incredible uplifting, energetic remix, utilizing Emma Hewitt’s stunning vocals to perfection as only they would know coming off of their smash single “Be Your Sound” together.

Somewhat lost in the fact in the release of Cosmic Gate’s remix of “Colours” was the fact that they also released their remix of “Wild & Perfect Day”. They make this track a little more trancey, taking out much of the uplifting synth and piano melody and replacing with a harder trance melody that works just as well. The catchy vocals remain and the bass line becomes a bit more developed.

After jump I included another Cegor remix, which is a great smooth progressive track with a quality piano lead and an uplifiting synth melody.
Dubstep, Trance | Fracx – Serenity (Original Mix)
Posted by W8 on March 23, 2012
You should know, I’m always all days about these gems. Serenity does indeed define one. Fantastic and unique, this soft-core progressive trance like dubstep production is a vibrant explosion of genre that makes for an abundance of alleviating noises. I’d also mention that Fracx is only 17 years young and in saying that is quite the privilege to be immersed in his sonic vocabulary for that age. Young producers such as Fracx make growing up feel optional, they continue to gather more experience in less time when the days are short and the years are long, each new generation adding more color than the previous could dream of, nevertheless – humbles me.

DJ-Set, Progressive House, Trance | Rafael Frost – Channel 4
Posted by Middy on March 21, 2012
I have posted Rafael Frost in my now retired Trance Tuesday posts, (sorry people but GOOD free trance is almost impossible to find, especially on a weekly basis) and this is his latest single “Channel 4” out on Ferry Corsten’s, Flashover Recordings. This song has been supported by just about every major trance artist under the sun. He has a unique sound that is both incredibly melodic and hard hitting with a blend of house and trance. The formula has been championed by the likes of Arty and though I am not saying he is Arty, I think his style that combines trance and house so well with more of an emphasis on trance, could easily lead to an explosion of popularity for Rafael Frost, much like the explosion of popularity that happened for Arty in 2011. This may not be the song that does it, but I think that Rafael Frost has what it takes to become a star. He does not make that many songs, instead focusing on creating the best quality tracks possible and does not tour much, which hinders an artists ability to be seen. Either way 2012 should be a pivotal year for Rafael Frost. Also check out a preview of his upcoming remix of Boom Jinx & Daniel Kandi – Azzura on Enhanced Records. Also after the jump is Hard Rock Sofa’s Miami 2012 Podcast with the hottest songs out now and their upcoming collaboration with Swanky Tunes “Apogee”

Trance | Angostur’o and Bionick feat V.Ray – Time (Kossa Project Remix)
Posted by Mach on February 22, 2012
I have been a trance fan for a long time, but to be honest I rarely get into vocal trance tracks. The vocals on this remix sound incredible with the tweak of the beat Kossa Project laid down. This remix is meant to be a promotion of V.Ray’s vocals, and I think Kossa Project did a great job putting emphasis on them. One could put this track on repeat all day long and just feel themselves float on through life.
Albums, DJ-Set, Trance | Mat Zo – Bipolar EP
Posted by Middy on February 14, 2012
Mat Zo has finally released his much anticipated Bipolar EP featuring his single “Bipolar”, which was featured on Anjunabeats Vol 9, and has become a favorite by many around the world with its eclectic style and rhythms. “It’s Yours” has all the makings of being Mat Zo’s next signature anthem alongside songs like “Superman”, “Synapse Dynamics” and collaborations with Arty such as “Mozart” & “Rebound”. It is an creative take on the classic funky house song from Jon Cutler & E-Man, adding Mat Zo’s own style and flare to it, making it perfect for the big room and taking those funky melodies to new heights. “Ring On It” is built around an addictive bleepy bass line with smooth synths to compliment. “Yoyo Ma” is more of a melodic house or trance track with influences from Eric Prydz and a more trancey feel to this track, especially in the build. This EP is masterfully crafted by Mat Zo as he is able use different sounds and styles from the beginning to the end, making sure no track sound close to the same. Check out the EP as well as an hour long mix he put together with a variety of exclusive mashups and bootlegs ranging from trance to house to electro.
