Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Trap | Dirtyphonics – DIRTY

Posted by on November 3, 2012

Dirtyphonics latest single Dirty released last week with some exciting remixes alongside the original from 12th planet, Metrik, Darth & Vader, and Nicolas Malinowsky . The original is already a high energy track with the monstrous Dirtyphonics style, bass filled drop, but the remixes provide some different perspectives to the heavy original. 12th planet provides a trap style remix that he has been incorporating within his tracks as of late with Nicolas Malinowsky contributing some trap as well. Metrik brings his usual fast paced DnB style to turn this track up and increase the energy even more. Darth & Vader’s remix portrays their heavy Electro-House style and a more uplifting feel to the track with their own melodies incorporated. Drum & Bass | Wax Motif & Neoteric – Go Deep (Torro Torro Remix)[Killagraham D’n’B Edit]

Posted by on November 1, 2012

KillaGraham dropped his huge new EP, “Lifted,” only a month ago, since he has been getting an insane amount of recognition for all the work he has been doing. With support of dance floor champs Torro Torro, KillGraham has done an energy filled Drum & Bass edit of Torro Torro’s remix of “Go Deep.” This edit doesnt go deep, but the constantly changing pace of the track is a lot of fun. Not the usual you hear from Drum & Bass, but I want more.

Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Electronic | Monsta – Monsta EP

Posted by on October 30, 2012

OWSLA is in full force this year cranking out release after release and showing no signs of stopping. Having just released Seven Lions new EP not more than two weeks ago and now releasing Monsta’s new EP and planning on releasing Kill The Noise’s EP during the first week of November, what label is going to be able to catch up to all these gigantic releases? You have nothing out of the usual remixes from this superstar lined up squad featuring Alvin Risk, Kill Pairs, Dillon Francis, and none other than Skrillex alongside Nero. Monsta’s originals on the EP are geared more toward the electronic style rather than the heavier Dubstep and DnB remixes. The EP contains a little bit of both spectrums and is well rounded for everyone. Grab the EP off of iTunes HERE.

Drum & Bass, Preview | Etherwood – Give It Up (Hospital Records “Sick Music 3” Announcement)

Posted by on October 24, 2012

I just have not been able to get enough of this over the past day. Etherwood first made his big appearance with his collaboration remix with Jakwob of Lana Del Rey’s “Video Games.” Etherwood is one of the most underrated Liquid Drum & Bass producers out there. Of course that will change once this releases on Hospital Records’ new upcoming compilation “Sick Music 3.” The compilation consists of 28 tracks from Fred V & Grafix, Netsky, Gridlok, Muffler, Dany Byrd, Etherwood (of course), and many more. This great collection of music from Hospital Records is releasing Monday, November 26th. For the time being enjoy this preview of Etherwoods beautiful work.

Drum & Bass, Dubstep | ShockOne – Chaos Theory

Posted by on October 21, 2012

ShockOne has unleashed one of the biggest Dnb tunes of the year. Chaos Theory has probably been the highlight of so many sets ever since its first appearances about a year ago. I remember first hearing this tune in Knife Party’s set at ‘I Love Techno’ and thinking it was an unreleased Pendulum track because of its similar style. Nevertheless this track is an outrageous club anthem that just goes off, and I can say that after experiencing it live many times. The EP also consists of one clean radio edit, one dirty radio edit,a drumstep remix, and a dubstep mix as well. Grab the EP off of Beatport HERE.

Drum & Bass | Spor – Ziggurat/Push Me, Pull You

Posted by on October 15, 2012

Drum & Bass’ God has returned. Over the past few months, Feed Me AKA Spor, has shown resentment to his legendary ego, Spor. It was feared that Spor would be no more, but to our great surprise, the legend in EDM has released these two tracks saying this, “Who said I left? Genres mean nothing to me, I just love music, thank you to everyone who supports me.” Clearly he was messing with us, well that’s a great weight off my shoulders haha. Spor has proven that he still has it, and that his Feed Me persona has not taken control of his other talents within electronic music. He may be one the best, well rounded producers in EDM. Though, these track have released through the UK, I do not doubt the peoples ability to uncover them in other ways on the internet. Enjoy.

Drum & Bass, Electro-House, House | Madeon – The City EP

Posted by on October 9, 2012

Madeon’s The City EP dropped yesterday, bringing us original and extended mixes of the titular track, a live version of “Icarus,” and some very fresh DnB remixes to boot. If you never once thought that Madeon’s distinctive brand of nu-disco would lend itself well to drum n’ bass — well, you’re not alone. I approached these remixes (specifically, Netsky’s remix of “Finale” and Fred V & Grafix’s remix of “Icarus”) with a fair degree of skepticism and found myself utterly blown away. Netsky achieves the impossible (in my humble opinion) and actually improves upon “Finale,” finding a way to milk even more drama out a track that’s already chock full of adrenaline. I always found the original unsatisfyingly brief, so I really appreciate the way Netsky draws out each build and adds new color by way of some wonderfully different chord progressions. Exeter duo Fred V & Grafix likewise breathe new life into an old favorite; they dexterously manipulate the tempo of the now-familiar “Icarus” and layer in fast, choppy breakbeats, which (perhaps surprisingly) have the effect of magnifying the punchy, bright synths we all know and love. In all, this is a tight and very savvy release from our favorite little Frenchman who continues to prove that he’s got this game on lock.
