Dubstep | R Rated #57
Posted by Mach on November 28, 2012
Ah, once again my favorite time of the week. Ommi (previously Deadpool Dubstep) has graced our ears with his first filthy remix under his new name. Remixing an already epic tune from Syrebral, Ommi dropped this fantastically like Getter. Heavy and crunchy, a true eardrum destroyer and perfect start to this weeks R Rated.

Asian Trash Boy never disappoints with his free remixes. He has a cool Hip-Hop/Dubstep blend that only feels right to rock out to.
CrusiA is new a producer to me, as of tonight in fact. Listening to this track, it started out interesting but nothing really grabbed me. Little did I know I was going to lose my virginity again about 34 seconds into the track.
Free Download: CrusiA – Get Bass OS2
This turned out to be the most interesting track of my night. The track starts out like any other Dance or House track. I really just didn’t want to listen anymore after that, but something about Dubstep being its labeled genre made me have to know what was in store. Worth the curiosity.
If you click “Read On,” a magical unicorn will appear or you will find more R Rated Dubstep.
Dubstep | Zedd Ft. Foxes – Clarity (Aylen Remix)
Posted by Mach on November 28, 2012
It has to be the bewitching Alyen has done that has led me to have this remix on repeat. The way he balanced out the vocals and melodic Dubstep just hits that sweet spot in your ears. Honestly, I wasn’t crazy about the original from Zedd, but I’m glad that Aylen showed that Foxes’ beautiful vocals are not lost.

Dubstep | Nexus – Ginger Kids
Posted by Mach on November 27, 2012
Don’t let the name scare you away like most attempts at finding a relative picture for this post did to me. Nexus came through with an interesting blend on this track. It starts out a bit smooth but with an underlying crunchiness that comes at you once you’ve hit the drop. Though Dubstep, I really like the hint of breakbeat in the drop. This turned out to be an immense instrumental that you cannot help but want to move to.
Chill, Dubstep | Tijani – Breathe Out (Prod. Great Skies)
Posted by Mach on November 27, 2012
Great Skies is yet another great producer introduced to me by the legend W8. This new track of Great Skies and vocalist Tijani is beauty defined. Once the smooth drop comes in with Tijani’s incredible team of voice and lyric, exhaling becomes a whole new life. This is by far one of the most beautiful and emotional Dubstep tracks of 2012.
Dubstep | Seven Lions – Days to Come (Feature Cuts Remix)
Posted by Jess on November 27, 2012

Fresh off his debut Beatport release “Rage Values” via Excision’s Rottun Records, Feature Cuts throws his hat in the ring for Seven Lions’ “Day To Come” remix contest on Beatport. Keeping with the melodic roots of the original, Feature Cuts has his own touch to the already incredible song. If you like what you hear, give it a vote in the contest on Beatport.
Dubstep | Minnesota – Altered States EP
Posted by Middy on November 25, 2012
Minnesota is known for his unique style of dubstep, bass music, what have it, that has created a niche sound for him in this increasingly crowded dance music field. Following up his “Astral Projection EP” earlier this year and flurry of remixes over the summer, Christian Bauhofer, better known by his stage persona, Minnesota, delights the world with yet another free extended play to finish out the year. The EP takes us on a musical journey through the various influences on his sound from the more hip hop oriented tracks in “Float” and “Tokyo” and the trap influenced “Yoga Pants” (look at his profile pic on twitter), to “To The Floor”, which serves up much of the same eclectic sweeping synths and smooth dubstep that we have come to know him for and the more chilled out “Indian Summer” that serves as a perfect way to end this EP. The entire 5 track EP is free so you have no excuse not to get it.
Dubstep | Mark Instinct – Off The Chain (Ommi Remix)
Posted by Sev on November 25, 2012
Mach and I have posted this track before, but it was just a preview on one of the R Rated segments. Producer Deadpool Dubstep has changed his alias name to something more fitting for him and also released this crazy remix as a free download. Ommi (Deadpool Dubstep) is going to contine creating his crazy tunes, but now he has the genre restriction removed that was given to him from his name. Keep your eyes peeled on his new page, because new material is on its way. Grab the free download below and head over to his new page.
