It’s always painful to come across a remix from an up and comer that you know is 100 times better than any of the official remixes released. Dotcom takes Will.I.Am. & Britney’s “Scream and Shout” and absolutely crushes this remix with a melodic dubstep makeover. Dubstep | Cassie – Me & You (Minnesota Remix)

This is the first remix I have ever seen of Cassie’s “Me & You.” Creative of Minnesota to have chosen to do this remix. As my girlfriend put it “everything Minnesota does is extremely sexual.” She is right, the way he produces is sex for your ears. His bass-lines always have that smooth yet crunchy vibe that makes you want to start grinding your hips. The remix is a lot like older styled Dubstep, but with some future flare in good taste.

Damn, should have remembered Koven as one of the artists to look out for this year. He has a decent amount of known releases for this spring, including a collaboration with Modestep. This original from Koven is massive. The vocals are an ever so sweet touch, but Koven murdered our ears by riddling them with bass. I will be honest, the music video isn’t much to see, but I guarantee that this track blows minds. “More Than You” is part of an upcoming EP of Koven’s also titled “More Than You.” The EP features a remix of the title track by DC Breaks plus another orignal from Koven called “No Blocks.” The EP is set to release March of this year, no specific date as be stated yet.
Dubstep | Nexus – Supernova

Recently came across Nexus, an extremely dope producer based out of South Florida. Although released a month ago, his song “Supernova” caught my ear the most (which was premiered recently on VIBE). The melodies in the song are incredible and coupled with the heavy bass, this song is like an unexpected adventure for your ears. I also included his song “Radiant” as a bonus. Sorry for the delay on R Rated again guys, but we had a lack of free tunes again this week and just needed to wait a bit more for the goods. To kick off R Rated we got this sick preview from Flux Pavilion’s upcoming EP of a track that seems to have him on the vocals. The track is entitled The Scientist and has that awesome old school Flux Pavilion vibe that everyone fell in love with. Only 4 more days until the EP releases so keep your eyes peeled.
Mach and I posted this track a few weeks ago on R rated talking about how badly we wanted this track and the fact that we would never get it. Well we were wrong, because after getting spammed Trolley Snatcha decided it was time to give it away. I can’t imagine as to why he wouldn’t finish such a monstrous track and release it on an EP.
Next up is an absolute grimey, dirty, gritty track from Getter. This track is filthy on so many levels its hard to describe. I honestly don’t know how else to describe this track besides that it nearly rips your ears to bits from its tearing mid range basses. On another note, Getter’s collaboration with Protohype is a little bit strayed from Getter’s usual style and leans more toward a more melodic and festival style track while keeping some grime.
Formerly known as Deadpool Dubstep, Ommi has just released his Mutant EP yesterday and just to push the EP up the charts a little more, as a side gift if you buy the EP and send him a screenshot of the purchase you can also gets this heavy track. Its a tribute to his old alias and its a banger.

2013 is already turning out to be an awesome year for electronic music in my opinion. Reso has an awesome line up of remixing artists for his upcoming remix EP of his recent EP release “Tangram.” The remix EP features KOAN Sound, Om Unit, Billain, and Doshy. KOAN Sound’s remix is a lot more abstract than I am used to hearing from them. Their remix of “Axion” is a very deep, bassy Drum & Bass track that transitions into a kicked up Midtempo jam. Om Unit has my favorite remix of the whole EP. The way they remixed “Simple Pleasures” creates the emotion that the title is so deserving of. The track is very chill and still with the same deep bass that carries out through all the remixes. Billain made a dirty Neuro-Dubstep remix of “Half Life,” making my ears convulse in the craziest ways. The last remix from Doshy is the only one of the EP that does not have its own clip. Doshy’s remix of “Coronium” is what I would call an abstract take on Trap. Oddly enough the idea works, and Doshy’s remix provides a cool-temperatured finish to the EP. The remix EP is set to release March 11th.

After taking a few weeks hiatus, Sev and I can finally bring back R Rated. Kicking off our return is this insane remix from KhemehK. It’s unbelievable how much different kinds of bass were used coherently. Definitely one of nastiest tracks I have heard in weeks. No word on its release yet, but this full preview is worth getting into.
Hugs&Drugs dropped this tight preview tonight. It is some seriously grimy Dubstep. No release date yet, considering this is still a work in progress.
I have been listening to this preview for days now. Cyrex has done an awesome job on this remix so far. Not may people remix Kill The Noise’s older tracks, so it is pretty cool to see someone like Cyrex to take one on. Track is currently a work in progress.
Dino Safari did something I would have never expected from them, they just never crossed my mind as a group to produce something as deep as this. No release date yet, but I’m adding to my must have list.
I was actually disappointed in the lack of dirty tracks for this post, feels like everything I checked out was a preview and nothing to download. Eliminate was the only exception really and the Fytch & KushBerry remix is just way too good to pass on, seriously, you have to check it out.
