Dubstep | Dirt Monkey – Bussitup (Alex Sin Remix)

Posted by on July 12, 2013

Dirt Monkey - Bussitup (Alex Sin Remix)Dubstep has seemed off lately but this new remix from Alex Sin absolutely blew my mind leaving little bits of bass burned brain matter all over my speakers. I love the carnival like sounds that we usually hear from artists like Killagraham and Mojo. Alex Sin created an epic bass tune that is going in my must haves playlist.

Drum & Bass, Dubstep, Preview | Emperor – Structures

Posted by on July 11, 2013

After his epic hard hitting remix of Shrine’s “Kursk”, Emperor debuts a new top of the food chain single through Inspected. I am getting a huge Culprate vibe from this track, I don’t know if he helped out Emperor or if he was inspiration, but I am really feeling this. The bassline sounds like a tweaked electric guitar taken through lower octaves that they usually are unable to touch, helping bring in the occasional whale call that puts a smirk on my face. No word yet on a release date.

Dubstep, Exclusive, Featured, House, Preview | BeatauCue – Aeropolis + Others Remix (Preview) [FNT Exclusive]

Posted by on July 10, 2013

BeatauCue - Aeropolis EP

As head of forward thinking label Kitsuné, French duo BeatauCue, are known for their funky, groovy originals and remixes that may not put them on the MainStage, but it has earned them the respect as both outstanding producers and label owners. They have given us the opportunity to exclusively preview their upcoming single “Aeropolis”, set for release August 5th on their label Kistuné, along with one of the remixes on the package from London dubstep artist The Others. The original calls to mind a bit of an Eric Prydz sound with its rolling bass line, a strong groove and punchy and unrelenting synth chords that culminate in a huge danceable drop. The Others derives his builds from the original, but true to his sound adds deep, heavy, sub rattling growls and an ominous lead to flip the script on this track and make it his own bass heavy addition. Look for these on July 29th with additional remixes from Neosignal and Slick Shoota, which you preview in the minimix below.

Dubstep, Hip-Hop | The XX – Angels (Budo Remix)

The XX - Angels (BUDO REMIX)I know what you’re thinking, “Great, another The xx remix”, but no. I mean, of course it’s another remix, but this is unlike the others in every way. It’s a little blend of deep Dubstep and Hip-Hop, not something that is unheard of, but Budo gave this song much more meaning. The progression is fantastic, but the bass hits you in the right place at the chest. Budo did a beautiful job on this, a must have in my opinion.

Dubstep | Urbanstep – Voices

Posted by on July 1, 2013

Urbanstep - VoicesI can’t help but be disappointed in Dubstep this year, with so many people trying to produce it now it’s hard to find new Dubstep that truly blows you away. Urbanstep seems to be one of the few that can still do that with me, this new original of his is breath taking. The build up right before the drop gets you amped up, but the drop itself takes me back to the days when I first fell in love with Dubstep.

M-Dot - Visionaries (Audeka Remix)Just in this the first few seconds of this remix, I was already pumped up by it. There are so many different vocals on the original of this, props to Audeka for being able to add them to the already epic instrumentals they laid out. Neuro-hop is starting to show up more and more, give it some time and everyone will know it.

Dubstep, Preview | PADU – Kings

Posted by on June 22, 2013

Padu - KingsA few weeks I came across Padu’s Soundcloud and ended up listening to almost everything he made. Padu makes some of the most incredible melodies consistently, and this new clip of his is another great example of the work that he does. “Kings” is just a clip, but I have high hopes that Padu will come through with this gem some time soon.
