Here is more fantastic work from Skrux. This dubstep tune has a great melody, and really ear pleasing vocals. If you’re into uplifting tracks that can really take you deep inside your mind, this is a good track for you. The lyrics are pretty cool too. Skrux has produced some quality melodic dubstep here, and it’s out for free!

Sony and Interscope are dueling for the best remix package this week. Zedd’s “Stay The Night” vs Sony’s (Columbia), “Live For The Night” makes for some big names and great remixes. W&W don’t get enough credit. The sound they help bring into the mainstream has become a bit overused, but they were the ones who popularized it. There are thousands of imitators, but only one W&W and this remix shows that once again. Dash Berlin molds their anthemic trance sound to the track, keeping it accessible, while still remaining true to their current direction. Deniz Koyu & Danny Avila add a somewhat cheesy progressive remix to the bunch, which is very disappointing for Deniz Koyu and you know Avila’s deal. Krewella also remain in genre by tabbing Pegboard Nerds and Xilent to switch things up on the track.

OH LORDE! If you listen to the radio, chances are you hate the original version of this song by now. If you’re one of the smart ones who uses Spotify or Pandora, you might just still enjoy this one. Either way, Dotcom is here to make your countdown to the weekend fly by just a bit quicker with this heavy hitting remix of Lordes “Royals.” Dotcom has burst onto the dubstep scene with his melodic remixes and weekly releases known as “Dotcom Dubdays.” The kid is a future star, so don’t sleep on this one.

What?!?! Damn, I remember when I heard first heard each of these guys, the first collaboration they released together, and now I will never forget one of the sweetest Blink-182 remixes I have ever set my ears upon by none other than PRFFTT & Svyable. It only took the intro of this song for me to know that this was going to make my week, and the next weeks to come. You have to listen to this.

Drum & Bass, Dubstep | KOAN Sound, Culprate, Reso, & Asa – Cascade

It’s that great time of year for Inspected again, Movemeber. I’m sure many remember last years gem, “Beyond The Shadows”, which was a collaboration between KOAN Sound, Gemini, Culprate, and Asa. Sadly Gemini didn’t make it on this years Movember track, but the up and coming Neuro-hop producer Reso managed to make a wonderful replacement. In my opinion this is the best line up of artists you could ever see in bass music. This year KOAN Sound and Asa just dropped their breath taking “Sanctuary” EP, Culprate dropped his highly anticipated “The Great Expedition” EP, and Reso is currently cooking up some of the dirtiest bass tracks that he will hopefully be releasing soon. The word ‘cascade’ is defined as, “something arranged or occurring in a series or in a succession of stages so that each stage derives from or acts upon the product of the preceding”. I could not think of a better way to explain the incredible progression this. If you thought last years track was great, “Cascade” will blow you away.

Wow, incredibly beautiful and fresh new garage tune from Fracture Design. It’s hard not to get lost in every second of this. Listening to this feels like I’m walking down “Shadow Avenue” myself.

Voting doesn’t open on Beatport until November 12th and I feel like Audeka already has one the top remixes. This Neuro-hop take on the Neuro-funk original is one hell of a dirty remix. The way the bass pours into your ears is like watching lions hunt, every thump is a gazelle being taking out. Make sure to show Audeka some love on this track, they are more than deserving to dominate the contest with this remix. Voting opens Nov. 12th and closes Nov. 25th.
