Chill | Fox Stevenson Releases Diverse Seoul Remix EP

Posted by on May 18, 2017

After making his mark in South Korea, Fox Stevenson is releasing a 3 track pack – Seoul Remix EP, featuring 3 talented Korean artists: IMLAY, Giiana, and Demicat, to celebrate his success. Fox Stevenson chose Korea to be his next territory to get into, after killing big stages like Tomorrowland, touring, and dropping new music.

South Korea-based artist IMLAY has been challenging all future bass boundaries since the birth of the genre. Having released severals EP and tracks, 600K streams via music, and more, IMLAY was a good choice. Giiana is the most unique out them all, leaving you with thoughts to simmer on as you process what was just heard.

Rooting from a DJ veteran who produces unique hip hop/jazz hybrid tracks, Demicat had a big role in making future bass more popular in South Korea since 2007. The artist has released on AIA, Daily Earfood and several other labels, as well as now on Cloudhead Records.

Chill | FNT Premiere: JACSIN Reveal First Song As Duo “Don’t Need You Now (feat. Acacia)”

Posted by on May 15, 2017

JACSIN, a duo based out of California with multiple years of music experience between them, are coming out of their shell in 2017. Made up of Tordy Jack and Vanand Sinanian, the two have worked behind the scenes via top-lining, producing, writing, and more. Their efforts have led to their friend Novaspace’s single “Since You’ve Been Gone” to reach #1 on radio stations in Europe, acclaim hundreds of thousands of listens, and be supported by dozens of big name DJs.

JACSIN have the brand down, they have the music down – their platform seems to be properly set up to get exposure to great music as long as they keep the great music coming. “Don’t Need You Now (feat. Acacia)” is their first release on their own, not only dishing out a strong original feeling, but implementing all the hooks, catchy parts, and background sounds at the right moment in the song – a sign of unique, intelligent design. JACSIN have more to come in 2017.

Chill | Nurko Releases Remix Of Keys N Krates & Krane’s “Right Here”

Posted by on May 10, 2017

Nurko is a name that should not be missed out in 2017, if you are into up-and-comers. Nurko hasn’t been pushing this project for super long and already has 2 million plays to his name, a TSIS premiere, a music video, and so much more – most of those plays getting locked in this year. Nurko is turning heads with his multi-genre appeal blanketed with a dark-theme throughout most of his tracks.

His newest release, which follows up the hit “Let Me Go”, is a remix of Keys N Krates and KRANE’s “Right Here”, doing the original justice, to say the least. The single reminds me of if Jai Wolf and San Holo had a baby, a very chill sound with rough edges around it, along side nice breaks in the bridge as well. Nurko is on to something.

Chill | Levie Unleashes Dark Pop Sound Via “Trouble”

Posted by on May 10, 2017

If you don’t know Levie, now is the time. The solo producer based in Orlando, but born and raised in Brazil, has a serious pop future ahead of him. He’s played almost every venue in Orlando, including opening for the official Orlando City soccer team. His vocals, a semi-mixture of a Phill Collins vibe and a modern pop-rock feel, is one of many elements that sets Levie apart.

After the success of previous release “Paralyzed,” Levie has released “Trouble”. A single that well-distinguishes what this guy is made. The original showcases strong hooks and an overall melodic experience, as well a rough-around-the-edges feel with a sprinkle of an indie-electronic theme in there. Levie continues to produce, sing, and grow his fan base out of South Florida and beyond, catch a show of his if you are in the area.

Chill | Seoul-Based Demicat Releases Future EP “Oredorok”

Posted by on April 25, 2017

The next chapter in Demicat’s world is here. The Seoul-based veteran DJ/producer has just released a 5 track EP Oredorok – a sensational sound carrying an Eastern breeze within. The EP elegantly and charmingly challenged all boundaries of the trending sounds concept. Demicat shares: “In the past, I used to just try to catch up with the western sound. But these days, every producer in the world have the same or similar sound. Among them, there are few producers have their own identity. I tried to mix the oriental (more Korean) sounds in my EP.”

Established in South Korea, the veteran DJ/producer was one of the top DJ’s that brought attention to EDM in Seoul in the late 2000s. 2007 marked the beginning of his music journey, as he began producing jazz inspired hip hop records that were considered uncommon at the time. He continued to experiment, and in 2013 became among the first Korean artists to successfully produce genres like trap and future bass.

After a brief pause, Demicat is back on the scene with Oredorok, which translates into “Forever” in Korean – a spectacular blend of East meets West.
