Bass, Future Trap | MICA Unleashes Emotional 5-Track EP ‘The Night You Left’ Via Suit Of Bullets
Posted by VMan on August 28, 2021
Over the past years, MICA has without a doubt established himself as a force to be reckoned with, consistently sharing boundary-pushing tunes that blend future bass, ambient and experimental sonics into a distinct auditory result. He has received support from visionary artists such as Alison Wonderland, Steve Aoki, Autograf, and QUIX, while his music has been trusted by labels such as UZ’s Quality Goods Records and Steve Aoki’s Dim Mak.
Now, MICA is back with his most ambitious project to date, an immersive EP titled ‘The Night You Left,’ that makes up for an impressive journey through his turbulent mind. Heavenly vocals, soothing ambiances and over-the-top drops juxtapose each other throughout the EP’s 5 tracks, as MICA truly showcases his unmatched production style and vision. When it comes to the inspiration and meaning behind the project, MICA explains:
“This project for me is all about self-growth, it was written from a really dark and lonely place in my life. I was lost, scared, confused, and angry – This EP is me growing from those emotions and accepting my flaws. This EP encapsulates my new sound as MICA, it’s very different from any of my older music, yet still feels connected. I’ve put my blood, sweat, and tears into this project – This project is essentially my musical therapy session. Each song is a stage of my depression and how I dealt with it.”
Bass | ‘Smoke’ By H3nry Thr!ll His 6th Strong Single Of 2021
Posted by VMan on August 14, 2021
H3NRY THR!LL’s “Smoke,” follows up collaborations with Brokinpaper, Ryan Bauer, Kid Brian, all of which have gone on to scaled success thanks to the ambitious solo producers hunger to make something of himself. “Smoke,” is his August 2021 release and shares a balance in more ways than one. It’s distinctive traits shine through, showcasing a dynamic soundscape that he hasn’t quite put forth before. On the other hand, the single showcases elements that are broadly familiar to what he’s done before.
Dark and featuring slick basslines, clever percussion work full of surprise encircle the synth work to generate a feeling of confidence and heaviness. The technical aspects within hit all the right ticks and triggers that nearly forces the body to express some form of dance – even if it’s a slight head-bob.
H3nry Thr!ll is far from his first release and has gained the support of some serious heavyweights in the industry, Don Diablo and Lost Frequencies being apart of the camp offered a helping hand to the rising producer.
It seems nothing can stop the roll that H3nry Thr!ll is on, between great music, strong support, and consistent flow of content coming from him, his reliability and talent shine through.
Bass, House | longstoryshort Hits New High With ‘Never Come Close’ Single
Posted by VMan on August 13, 2021
The project only being 2 years old, it’s impressive to see what solo DJ/producer longstoryshort has been able to accomplish since his inception. Millions of streams, plenty of support from blogs, artists, and the like, he’s achieving success in all the proper corners of the music industry to earn the title of a fast-growing artist. Continuing the momentum even more so, he’s released “Never Come Close.”
From the very first moments, a plethora of production elements come raging forward to make up the one-of-a-kind energy that’s within here. Tech house gives the track it’s groove, atmospheric echo-induced vocals gshare an eased nature, and the build up and drops provide confident energy that makes the experience time-testing. Highly technical and well detailed, longstoryshort has a talent for handling big challenges with complex components in his music, the result being a well-cultured song with undeniable personality and catchiness.
It could be that he’s well-practiced, talented, or both, but longstoryshort has the ‘it’ factor that so many desire – being able to not stray too far out of what he’s primed fans to with his past releases, but not coming off repetitive or rudimentary. The man is balanced and keeps bringing the fire.
Bass | Sintra’s New Single “Break” Is A Vibe
Posted by VMan on August 11, 2021
With not much music under his belt as of yet, Nashville based DJ and Producer Dennis Mongan, aka Sintra, is clearly on to something here. It’s unknown how long he’s been producing music up until to this drop but due to how good “Break” sounds I think it’s safe to assume he’s been perfecting his craft for a while now. If you are in need of a new deep house or G-house original, look no further! Keep a tab on Sintra, “Break” is a vibe.
Bass | Lick and Slowpalace Release “CRACKS”
Posted by VMan on May 22, 2021
This isn’t the first time LICK and Slowpalace have teamed up, and I hope it’s not the last. They teamed up before on “Disappear” ft. Tori Letzler and they’ve been able to recreate that magic on “CRACKS”. The song starts off his an angelic vocal before devolving into a dirty dubstep drop. Things get really ravey at the end with an uptempo beat that will have you jumping around.

Nightmare EP is an astounding blastoff to what is set to be a exciting and entertaining career for newly debuting artist Johnny Jenre and his 2-track EP he is bestowing on the world. Introducing himself through this Haus of Panda signing, (a imprint branching off of the Brooklyn Fire label family,) it’s safe to say that this guy is generating his own momentum right off the cuff.
Getting deep into the 2 tracks, they share commonalities between them, but exude experiential differences that bring originality to each them, giving independence to “Jagged,” and “Night Terror” without alienating them as something that shouldn’t be aligned together.
John Gonzalez aka Johnny Jenre has over a decade of experience under his belt and more than likely is on his second or third alias here, given the quality level and ambition that is sensed within these tracks. Firing off a strong impression of himself straight away, this is some energy that simply isn’t going to be a flash in the pan.
