Bass | Birthdayy Partyy Get Funky With “Freestylin'”
Posted by VMan on July 16, 2018
Birthdayy Partyy always deliver top quality dance tracks. Fun isn’t something they skimp on when it comes to their records, but their latest may be their funnest – and funkiest – yet. “Freestylin'” sees the twin brothers drop down the BPMs for a midtempo electro original with just the right amount of groove and retro influences. They’ve cleared fifteen releases this year already and show no signs of slowing down. If there’s one act that’s doing 2018 right, it’s Birthdayy Partyy.
Bass, Electro | Birthdayy Partyy Drop Fan Favorite Fergie Remix
Posted by VMan on July 2, 2018
Birthdayy Partyy have a ton of high quality remixes, but there’s one that really got things popping at their EDC Las Vegas debut, as well as Spring Awakening. That was “London Bridge” by Fergie, but instead of its poppy 2006 form, the brothers updated it into a breakbeat beast. As has become custom, the boys dropped this one as a free download. Think of it as your Summer gift and enjoy it in your party playlists for the rest of the season! This is a throwback done right.
Bass, Trap | Hydraulix Releases Bass-Heavy Multi-Genre EP Entitled “Kingdom”
Posted by VMan on July 2, 2018
Bass music is an ever evolving genre, clearly Hydraulix has come across a multitude of genres and influences in his days for something like Kingdom EP to bind it’s roots and eventually make it’s way out of him. Hydraulix showcases many styles in the EP, the music also sending a message that he’s not about one vibe when it comes to what he represents. The sick 3D artist and diverse beats create more than a lasting impression that parallels the music in surprising ways, props to Hydaulix for digging deep and making something strong for the long term.
Bass, Chill | Moving Castle Leader Robokid Returns With “Fishing Lessons”
Posted by VMan on June 23, 2018
For starters this music video is amazing (WATCH HERE), but a little wacky. Moving Castle alumni member Robokid hasn’t dropped any new music in a hot minute, so I was hyped to see this new drop. Not only did “Fishing Lessons” come with a new audio track but there is a hilarious video to go along with it. Sticking to his standard form, L.A. producer/vocalist/musician Robokid creates some ambient future pop that will make you nod your head. Enjoy!
Bass, House | Phenatiks Keep Dark House Style Going With Original “Drop It”
Posted by VMan on June 22, 2018
Two Cali-based Icon Collective artists are in the depths of a bass-house journey as their somewhat haunting, certainly mysterious singles continue to creep up. “Drop Out” is next in a line from a recent herd that seem to come from a common place. PhilZen and Jinjun – the two soloist who make up the group – have been toying with the idea of Phenatiks as a duo since last year. 2018 has seen a continuation of the idea for the two and increase in support from a decent range of taste-makers. “Drop It” is set to be a substantial addition to the catalog as Phenatiks keep hitting the beat in more ways than one.
Bass | Birthdayy Partyy Celebrate Festival Season With “Confess”
Posted by VMan on June 18, 2018
The Birthdayy Partyy twins are back again with another release. They’ve been on a remix train, but have gotten off to switch back over to originals. Following up their Spring Awakening music festival set, they’re dropping their collaboration “Confess” with Raddix. As far as festival tracks go, this should be at the top of your playlsits. Birthdayy Partyy’s energetic sound comes out hot in full force, pushing bass heavy sounds like never before. It’s an incredible record that gets better the more you listen to it. And it’s a free download!
Bass | Voltaire Leaves Impression With Remix Of Nurko’s Original “Million Birds”
Posted by VMan on June 10, 2018
Featuring a super clean, nearly-mysterious sound, soloist Voltaire had created his own world around Nurko and Elle Vee’s “Million Birds,” indie-guitar work, future bass, along with a melody and feel that seems to highlight a theme of reassurance together form a transformative remix. Voltaire prefers to stay behind the scenes in the beginning, testing the waters musically with aliases before pushing the personality.
The interesting angle and work of the soloist is an eye-catcher, well-supported sounds will certainly come through one way or another.
