Bass | Ian Monro Signs EP To Quality Goods Records, Releases New Single “Again, Again”
Posted by VMan on May 21, 2019
Ian Munro has been gaining much traction this year, record label Quality Goods Records has thus taken notice and signed his EP, Again, Again. At a glance, the single off the EP could come off to some as ordinary, but once you cross over the 15 second mark you realize the massive amount of creativity that is built into one single. Using a atonal chord progression to go deeper into the metallic signature sound he’s been known for, Ian Munro, is sparking some serious curiosity with what he’s putting on the table here.
“Again, Again” to me really hits this beautiful moment that sits right in between melancholy and hope. Never quite gravitating more towards either – but occupying both at the same time.
– Ian Munro
The New Zealand native has built a lot of steam in the last year, given his trajectory now it’s safe to say he’s one to keep tabs on.
Bass | RATED R and DRINKURWATER Assemble On Massive Riddim Tune “Oh F*ck”
Posted by VMan on May 3, 2019
RATED R and DRINKURWATER have combined the best of their bass hitting power to unleash a huge banger for the masses titled “Oh F*ck.” The single flexes hard with massive, screeching drops and lyrics easy to chant to. The bridge provides a calming eastern-tinged feel soon followed by more rich basslines. The end result is a tasty bass tune that would change the night off any room, riddim fans in particular are going to shed neck muscles over “Oh F*CK.”
Both RATED R and DRINKURWATER have rising careers, expect more music action from them both in coming months.
Bass | GIDEXEN Showcases Hard-Trap Style In “Money” EP
Posted by VMan on May 2, 2019
“Money” and “Slay” make up the two-track production, both featuring the vocal talent of KRAK’N. The tunes embrace a traditional trap beat and rhythm you’d be used to. What makes Money EP different is it’s furious energy and darkness that engulfs the entire experience. Bass-driven tracks and engaging versus make up the centerpiece that makes Money a strong work sure to be appreciated in trap circles
Money EP may be hard, but GIDEXEN very much has a diverse spectrum of sounds he puts on there, some of which could be considered more softer and melodic the one could expect. With over 150K monthly listeners and plenty of shows under his belt, this you rising talent has the pervasiveness and consistency to make it big
Albums, Bass | Egzod and Wasiu Release Trap-Influenced”Lone Wolf” On Lowly
Posted by VMan on April 23, 2019
“Lone Wolf,” a release signed to sub label Lowly of established indie label Trap Nation, is the energetic result for Wasiu and Egzod. Both acts offer alternative sounds from within their respective genre niches they could be placed in. Seeing the two acts together combining their unique attributes is a match made in heaven. “Lone Wolf” lyrically reveals a character who takes a solo path in life, a metaphorical explanation is given that past pain led to this life of loneliness. Through brief acoustic inclusions, theatrical drops that slap, and a narrative with substance and meaning behind it, Egzod and Wasiu’s “Lone Wolf” complete this story leaving the listener with a sense of confidence in who they are. Cheers to that.
Bass | Saint Punk Gets Heavy In New “Guttuh” House Single
Posted by VMan on April 22, 2019
Saint Punk has been continuously stealing the Spotlight with his recent house heavy releases that often build in rock and gritty attributes. The solo artist, who there is not too much known about, was invited to play at Confessions Miami Music Week event in 2019, and word on the street is he killed it. “Guttah” takes things in a heavier direction to say the least, the single featuring banging, metallic house-based drops that slap with a vengeance. The tune is not for the faint of heart to say the least.
Saint Punk’s releases often pack a punch, “Guttuh” fitting in the realm of what would be expecting while delivering on an overall satisfying and original release. Saint Punk is set to drop more singles this summer, keep an eye on his channels to learn more about this guy.

Bass, Chill | You Need to Check Out Finis Mundi’s New Song, “Right Now?”
Posted by VMan on March 24, 2019
The name Finis Mundi is a new one to me but his latest single “Right Now?” sounds like it was made by a veteran producer. The Swedish artists new song is a step in the right direction for the project, Finis Mundi is not one to be pigeon-holed into one specific sound. The simplistic instrumental perfectly blends together with the vocal chop, coming together with an end result that is basically perfect. I could seriously see this single tearing a club down (in the best way possible – via people getting down). Stream the new single above now and keep your eyes on Mr. Mundi.
