Alternative | Bre Kennedy Releases Nostalgic Video for “Where Did Summer Go”
Posted by VMan on November 17, 2020
Bre Kennedy has taken this year to write her first full length record and through the process found herself writing inevitably about her own experience of seeing this heavy year come and go all from her window. Although she is still in the thick of writing her debut record, she wanted to release this song as an introduction of what’s to come for 2021.
“Where Did Summer Go” is a nostalgic fall ballad written with one of her favorite co-writers, Brian Brundage, Kennedy from her apartment in East Nashville and Brundage from his family home in Jersey over zoom. The song starts by listing all of the things Bre was dreaming to do this year but could not because of the state of the world. This song symbolizes the passing and loss of time and dreams that never got to see the heat of summer. Watch the video above now!
