Dubstep | Perverse – Semblance + Bonus
Posted by W8 on September 24, 2012
Perverse is a duo that plays in the depths of hertz with ear pounding, raw bass as their motto. Although all their production is notable, Semblance was a tune that really caught my attention and resulted in me contacting them times over to get a release date on. They’re now in the process of releasing 4 EP’s with each volume featuring 4-5 tracks, and the first installment is now free and available here
If that was to your liking, I put an extra unrelated gem after the jump.
Alternative | A Thousand Years – Flying High
Posted by W8 on September 23, 2012
Zeké Africa comes through with a taste off his new Farmers In Fields Of Stars EP that drops October 1st. Flying High involves catchy samples laced with ambient pads and spacey reverb. I’ll just pretend like those glorious sounding words somehow depict the track properly. Honestly though, this tune makes you contemplate why you never used Fruit by the Foot wrappers as flavored rolling papers.

Alternative | Experimental Selections
Posted by W8 on September 12, 2012
I dedicate this post to the very few tracks that stand the test of time during this unsatisfied, impatiently needy generation. I’ve come to appreciate my savvy talent for deviating passed oceans of terrible shit in pursuit of gems out in the distance. Its got me following artists that are just off wandering in the realms of experimental sound, clearly inspired by nothing – production at its finest. These tracks below aren’t meant for a club, or any type of gathering, it’s the kind of shit you just vibe to by yourself. No genre, just a sound.

27 million years ago penguins were five feet tall. Let’s keep that in mind as we make our way into the fourth installation of indie pack, previously known as indie thursday. Sometimes you just have to let the songs do the talking. They go well with sun, weekends, and friends.
Hip-Hop | Ab-Soul – Nibiru (Prod. by JMSN)
Posted by W8 on August 16, 2012
It’s a rare moment to hear this level of awareness being conveyed to this demographic. A track like this comes less often then Nibiru transits. Ab-Soul made the entirety of the track quotable, and JMSN came through with a quality beat. I breathe this knowledge, and it feels like yesterday I was tuned in to the live radio show at the end of this track. I appreciate the lyricism although certainty of any kind bothers me. You know some thoughts and words, me too! Imagine it’s all fiction if that helps. Thanks goes to Anu.
Chill, Dubstep | Mydas & Loz Contreras – Where The Rivers Flow

Best to have yourself a good listening device for this track. If you like what you hear be sure to preview his latest EP – What I Do, and when you’re pleased with that feel free to support it on iTunes.
Progressive House | Jesse Draak & Ryan Fieret
Posted by W8 on July 20, 2012
Residing in the Netherlands are two young emerging producers, Jesse Draak and Ryan Fieret. The youthful duo has a thorough understanding of progressive house with a keen ear for euphoric builds and cheery drops. They recently released a compilation of tracks containing five remixes and two originals, which they are generously giving away for free. After reviewing all the tracks it’s my pleasure to present my three favorites, enjoy.
