House | Jasper Dietze and Aaron Richards Release Their Cover of The Weeknd’s “In the Night”
Posted by Tay on March 10, 2016
Jasper Dietze may only have a few records to his name, but it seems like the up-and-coming star gets better with each and every release. After dazzling the dance music community with his sun-kissed take on Kygo’s “Firestone” last year, the dance newcomer has garnered an impressive following with his accessible, evocative take on deep house that borrows elements from tropical house and pop. For his most recent effort, Dietze enlists Aaron Richards to flip The Weeknd’s “In the Night” on its head, turning it into a slowed-down deep house anthem that truly showcases the Dutch DJ’s talents. Dietze lays down a bed of luscious piano melodies intricately woven with deep synth arrangements and a pulsating bassline.

The Los Angeles-based producer, Justin Jay, is back with his first release of the year, and he’s remixed his fellow dirtybird and labelmate, Billy Kenny, and his track, “Work Me.” While Justin Jay’s remix is unlike his typical booty-bouncing house stylings, it’s nothing short of phenomenal, as he infuses the track with complex layers of jazz-y undertones and funky vibes, underlined by a chic house beat and electric guitar plucks. Justin Jay is in the middle of his Fantastic Voyage tour right now, alongside his friends and collaborators, Josh Taylor, Benny Bridges, and Henry Was, so don’t miss out when he comes to your city. House | Boehm Keeps It Tropical On Remix of OMI’s “Standing On All Threes”
Posted by Tay on March 4, 2016
After his Jamaican pop hit “Cheerleader” turned into last year’s summertime anthem, OMI is back again to release a compilation of chilled-out, summery reworks from his album ME 4 U. Last week featured Norwegian producer Bergs’ refreshed version of “Hitchhiker”, a hyped up festival ready single. This week Romanian remix master Boehm slows down things with his turn over of “Standing On All Threes”. The track transforms the original song’s captivating melody into a more laid-back tropical tune by laying down a breezy saxophone and downbeat percussion elements alongside of OMI’s signature vocals. This track will have you wishing for warmer weather.
