For its second year, Electric Paradise has expanded greatly, now including art, food, design, and technology and a multi-stage experience to perfect the festival’s presence in Punta Cana. Reggaefusion duo Major Lazer, funk-master Chromeo, synth-melting Porter Robinson, and house guru Steve Angello top this year’s first phase of the lineup announcement for the biggest festival in the Caribbean. These names alone carry enough weight in dance music to be worth the trip alone, but the lineup doesn’t end there. Gorgon City, AlunaGeorge, Cashmere Cat, Cash Cash, Hot Since 82, Moon Boots, and Matthew Johnson add to the talent that will grace the island this upcoming December. Electric Paradise tickets are available through the official website.

Events | EDX’s No Xcuses Events At Create Nightclub (11/7) & Ruby Skye (12/11) Are Not To Be Missed
Posted by Tay on October 27, 2015
One of the hardest working dance artists around, EDX, is always on his game, and this year, he’s stepped it up as he’s seemed to pull ahead with relentless output of both originals, remixes, radio shows – all while he’s constantly on tour. Up until now, he’s released around 3 new originals (with two more on the way) and three remixes – one of which is his remix of Sam Fedlt’s “Show Me Love” that was one of the most “Shazam-ed” songs in Ibiza this past summer season. Additionally, he’s still running his popular weekly mix show, No Xcuses, that’s 230+ episodes deep, which is quite the feat when you take into account everything else he tackles.
EDX’s No Xcuses radio show is also an internationally renowned party, which has graced nightclubs from Zurich, to Miami, to Las Vegas, and abroad. These have been heralded as some of EDX’s best events, and they’re set to come to Los Angeles’ Create Nightclub next Saturday, November 7th, and San Francisco’s Ruby Skye on Friday, December 11th. Don’t miss out on EDX in his natural environment and buy tickets to the LA show here, and the SF show here.
Techno | Destructo Takes It Back To The Old School Days of Electronic Music With “Techno”
Posted by Tay on October 26, 2015
Long before the days of Swedish House Mafia, Hardwell, Martin Garrix, and the main stage explosion, dance music presided over the underground, lurking the shadows of illegal warehouse raves and secret parties. In those days, electro, big room, and progressive house were afterthoughts – acid house reigned supreme. There are few artists that have been around long enough to truly understand the growth that dance music has gone through, but Destructo is one of them, and he’s throwing it back to the early days with his latest output, “Techno.” Sampling Eminem in his hit song, “Without Me,” Destructo builds the entire track around the verse, “nobody listens to techno,” infusing the track with some thick Roland-303s and buzzing synths.
