Trance | Armin van Buuren & Andrew Rayel – EIFORYA
Posted by Middy on March 17, 2014
The king and the prince. The god of trance and the mozart of Moldova. When a trance legend and soon to be one come together on one tune, you know that there is going to be something special created. It has the vintage Andrew Rayel kickdrum and melodically inclined synth work, held together by the masterful handiwork of Armin van Buurn. This is another absolute coup for W&W’s Mainstage Music, after they released Markus Schulz’s massive tune “Remember This”, the highlight from his recent “Scream 2” album. “EIFORYA” will be included in Armin van Buuren’s upcoming A State Of Trance 2014 compilation, set for release on March 28th.

Preview, Progressive House | Eric Prydz – Liberate (Preview)
Posted by Middy on March 10, 2014
Eric Prydz is the man. What was previously titled the “Waterpark ID” by his ID hungry fans on the torturous Eric Prydz forum (so many unreleased songs, it is hard to deal with) has been given a name by the melodic master “Liberate”. This is the type of a song that makes you feel like you are floating on a bed of cumulous clouds while being gently massaged by a warm sun rays and a steady breeze as you drink a cold mojito. Close your eyes and let Eric Prydz take you away. No word on release date, but it will be the title track from his next EP. Also if you are in Miami on March 27th, you are going to Eric Prydz’s party with Deadmau5 at the Ice Palace, it is just going to happen. It is the best party that night in town, hands down, no questions asked, where do you sign.

As someone in the tail end of his Aussie summer, Thomas Jack releases this remix as a farewell to the season filled with sun, golden coasts and warm breezes. Israel Kamakawiwo’ole’s island hit “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” became a worldwide hit a few years ago and still receives some play on the radio and commercially. The Hawaiian goodness from the original is channeled by Thomas Jack as he injects a little here and there with some tropical melodies and easy rhythms. He has released this as a thank you for reaching 50k on Facebook & 30k on twitter, so grab it for free below.

Dinnerdate has been cranking out tunes lately. We are just seeing the fruits of his labor, but what is going on in his Munich studio is incredible with some outstanding, soothing deep house. He was recently featured on Kitsuné’s New Faces compilation and has an EP coming very soon this spring. “Going On” is a free original to get you ready for that and shows the continues growth by the German producer with fitting vocal samples, groovy bass lines and soft and purposeful melodies. Electro-House, Melbourne Bounce | TJR ft. Benji Madden – Come Back Down
Posted by Middy on March 7, 2014
Melbourne bounce has hit the mainstream of dance music and you can put a lot of the blame or credit on TJR’s shoulders. It is obviously more nuanced than that, but as the sound continues to evolve, TJR’s tracks have been some of the most played in festival sets around the world for the past 12-18 months and it is from a weird, niche genre. His latest sure-fire hit single “Come Back Down” adds male vocals for a bit of a harder rock vibe to the bouncy, agressive bass line that comes with a TJR tune. Expect to hear a lot of this in Miami and beyond.

Posted by Middy on March 7, 2014
ID&T’s oldest festival, Mysteryland announced last year that is would be coming to the States, after 21 years in the Netherlands and a few years in Chile. However, once SFX bought ID&T, it was only a matter of time before the move to the US happened and it appears that they are doing it right, using the hallowed grounds of Bethel Woods, where the the 1969 Woodstock festival took place, as their destination. They recently announce their lineup, bringing on a diverse cast of names from all genres.
The main stage will have your usual suspects like Kaskade, Steve Aoki, Showtek, Fedde Le Grand and Nervo, while hosting other names like Oliver Heldens, Dillon Francis and Amtrac. One of the big selling points for the festival was the Sunday School area of the festival, which will have a dominant presence with an all vinyl stage and artists like Joris Voorn, Scuba, Chris Liebing, Lee Foss, Fehrplay vs Jeremy Olander, Dubfire, Tini and many more. Other notables include, Dillstradomus, Chase & Status, Milo & Otis, with Nicky Romero hosting a Protocol Recordings themed opening party.
Part two of ticket sales start this Tuesday, March 11th at 10am EST, so set your alarms. More info can be found on their website here.
