It’s a holiday (thank you troops), so we are hear to celebrate with not one, but two premieres. This time we have the Mike Z remix for NPR tipped Walker Lukens new tune “The Night I Was Kissed By Patti Smith” (That is quite a mouthful). If you had a long festival weekend (like me) and are hurting bad, then this is for you. It is very chill, relying on a simple, yet addictive guitar melody, with soft, soothing drums underneath that work side by side with the vocals from Mr. Lukens.
Shout-out to the homie with rocking to the FNT pinnie yesterday at EDC NY. We always love to see you guys showing support, it means a lot.

Internet sensation Fox Stevenson has released his much anticipated EP “All This Time”. The singer / songwriter / producer does it all, making the beats that range from drum n bass to cheery, melodic electro to dub and then writes and sings the slight angsty vocals on the tunes. The four track brings a lot of variety and shows a rare talent that sings and produces his own music in the dance realm. Make sure you pay special attention to “Out There”.

Two Fridays ago in New York it monsooned. Not your average everyday, downpour with the occasional flash of lightning, but a serious cloth soaking, 100% humidity state of affairs that created deceptive “puddles” that would envelop your entire lower leg up to your knee. Despite this and a 4 hour flight delay because of it, The Bixel Boys got to Webster Hall to play alongside the big man himself (he is actually a rather tall and imposing figure), Tchami.
So me hoarse from yelling over the music and a busted voice from a week of tough allergies and a cold, managed to get out some ridiculous questions to the guys and they gave me some great answers with Tchami “Untrue” blaring in the background.

Swiss electro rock band PLASMA on the heals of the release of their debut artist album “Replay Terror”, take things more electronic with the remix pack for their single “Burning Like The Sun”. We have the premiere for Berlin based Mirco Niemeier’s remix who varied sound makes him a perfect candidate to take on the tune. He goes for something more progressive and cheerful then his techno and minimal cuts, adding a a groovy drum beat, mixing the original drums and his own elements underneath a playful piano melody.

Happy Memorial Day Weekend to you all. If you are heading out to EDC NY, hit me up and we can go shuffle at the Hard Stage. Before you do that though, I’ve got another huge remix from the dude Cignature. We first introduced you to him with his remix of Muse “Starlight” and you all were clamoring for more, so here is his remix alongside 17 year old Swedish producer Leeo for Tritonal & Paris Blohm’s smash single “Colors”. I am a huge fan of the original, but they may have gone even bigger and better with this one, keeping the soaring vocals from Sterling Fox and then adding their own anthemic melody to breath new life into the tune. Exclusive, Featured, House | FNT Premiere: Dirty Vegas – Setting Sun (Leisure Cruise Remix)

Dirty Vegas first hit it big with their worldwide smash single “Days Go By”, but since have fallen out of the spotlight even breaking up for 3 years. However they are back with a new summer themed tune “Setting Sun” that has already gone sky high across the charts in Europe. The tune is getting a full two sets of remixes, first from Nora En Pure, Betoko & Chad Tyson, which come out on May 26th, and then another batch a short while later.
Along with Daddy’s Groove and Grum, Brooklyn based & Last Gang Music artists, Leisure Cruise are a part of that second wave of remixes set for release soon. The soothing, summer feel of the track is kept in tact, as the duo strip back a few of the elements and let the vocals and groove shine under a simplified melody. It’s Memorial Day Weekend coming in just 2 days, so that means you can break out those white shorts / pants, get ready for the unofficial start of summer and enjoy a long weekend of drinking outside.
