DJ-Set, Mix | Weekend Mixes 9/6/14
Posted by Middy on September 6, 2014
Don’t you wish it was still summer? That doesn’t mean the music has to stop and your dreams have to die or possibly going to Plitvice in Croatia (see above). We are back with a special edition of weekend mixes in celebration of E Zoo. So peep the mixes below to see what happened.
Progressive House | Michael Brun & DubVision Ft. Tom Cane – Sun In Your Eyes
Posted by Middy on September 3, 2014
There are few things like a great melody. These three, DubVision and Michael Brun are very adept at creating those monstrous, moving melodies that don’t sound stale next to tracks in the same genre at the time. UK singer, Thomas Havelock aka Tom Cane adds some super vocals for some great singalong moments throughout the tune. Michael Brun’s label Kid Coconut is doing quite well in its first two releases and we are excited to see what else he has to come.

Progressive House | Pierce Fulton – Kuaga / Noon Gun
Posted by Middy on September 3, 2014
Out now, Pierce Fulton has released two more originals for your auditory pleasure. “Kuaga” we already previewed for you guys with its chants similar to those in Above & Beyond’s “Prelude”. “Kuaga” could be a legitimate hit for Pierce as it is already getting support from some top level guys and being played at the end of summer festivals by names like Dada Life. “Noon Gun” is in the same mold of a tune like “Mr Mime” with its rolling bass line and quick synth work, so do not sleep on this one.

Events | Feed Me Brings The Teeth To Terminal 5
Posted by Middy on September 3, 2014
When you kick off a tour, you want to do it with a bang. Picking NYC for your city and Terminal 5 as your venue is a great way to kick things off not just me as a biased observer being from the area, but also with its size and impact on dance music. Terminal 5 has one of the best sound systems in the city and that was evident on this night. The low end was so strong during the show that the hairs on my body did not sit still for a second that he was playing. Not sure how the kids up front handled it (lots of drugs probably), but it was one of the most intense bass experiences I have felt, but with the clarity of Terminal 5’s speakers it was easy to take in.

Exclusive, House | Premiere: Fish From Japan – Carry On
Posted by Middy on September 1, 2014
It may be a holiday, but that does not mean vacation from music and premieres. We have another from Fish From Japan, who have tabbed Danielle Rowe to add some sumptuous, soulful vocals to their deep instrumental of floating synths and a marching bass line. The tune already has support from Mistajam on BBC, Mark Farina, Riva Starr and others undoubtedly to come. Grab the tune on Beatport with a very smooth and deep Dubb Disko remix.
