Deep House | Felix Jaehn – I Do (Original Mix)
Posted by JT on December 3, 2014
Hailing from the German north shores of Hamburg, Felix Jaehn brings us the pleasant ‘I Do.’ Taking technical aspects of deep house and disco funk, the track invigorates nonstop 2-step movement. This track is delicious – with vocals as catchy as these, you can’t help but sing along. So grab a friend with a car, plug this into the stereo, and drive.
Trance | Porter Robinson – Seas of Voices (Falcon Remix)
Posted by JT on December 3, 2014
Trance warrior rejoice, because Falcon just brought forward what I deem as the best remix of “Sea of Voices” for 2014. The original was game-changing in itself and yet, Falcon found a way to integrate his artful epic progressions and created a timeless mainstage anthem. It’s already received ASOT support from the legendary Armin Van Buuren and Future Sound of Egypt head honcho’s Aly & Fila, so expect this tune to dominate the airwaves at a trance event near you. Falcon doesn’t take away from the underlying melody but adds his own touch of uplifting synths, carrying you away and communicating in trance a certainty of purpose. I truly have fallen in love this one.

The name says it all – Billy Kenny & Aaron Jackson compile a groovy bassline, mix in some chilling chimes, and highlight the sexy vocals by Amy Lee to create ‘The Shiver Song.’ As cool as this vibe is, this track is fuego, a guaranteed club stopper. Released on HKRecs, you can look to adding another 2-step favorite to your deep house collection. Put on some headphones, grab some speakers, grab the strobe light – you’re sure to keep this on repeat.

This Norwegian is no stranger to the trance scene. He has fully captured the potential in Sarah Shields voice, bringing us ‘Not Alone’ – a tune that balances weighted synths with uplifting melody, perfectly. Daniel Van Sand is a welcomed favorite on Armin Van Buuren’s ASOT series and rightfully so – his music is constantly turning heads as the break portrays his versatility in producing both trance and film score vividly. This track adds to the ever-growing catalog of free trance and progressive found at AMPED ARTISTS, and if this is the caliber of music they continue to push out I expect big things coming their way.
Chill | Azealia Banks – Chasing Time (FEKI Remix)
Posted by JT on November 27, 2014
Australia has flow and FEKI is pure testament to this fact. He just added some extra flavour to the upbeat ‘Chasing Time’ by Azealia Banks and “totally flipped the tables on the sound that Azealia Banks is known for” by slowing the tempo and constructing a futuristic slow jam. This is one for those long night-drives mixed with some good company – memories are made here. Sure to stay on repeat for the next few days cop this free download from the kid FEKI. If you can’t buy the music, always support the free download.

Out as part of the Elliptical Sun Melodies [ESM133] compilation, Musty hits it out of the park, taking us a on a feel-trip to the mystical playgrounds residing among the cloud. He adds to the quality content consistently provided by the label, with high frequency synths and a melodic chord progression that showcases his aptitude as a melodic progressive producer. Hats off to Musty for this one.
