Indie | PASTEL feat. Lily L – Look Me In The Eyes
Posted by JT on January 14, 2015
This is a track anyone can relate to – just as my winter blues were peaking PASTEL brings me back to a state of summer and delivers the soothing ‘Look Me In The Eyes.’ The vocals are so colorful that I can’t help but hold my smile. Vink & Lex of PASTEL are no strangers to this genre of music, delivering a catalogue of music that displays consistency and quality. Keep your ears at attention for these two, I predict some major moves in their near future.

Stunning. Mesmerizing. Groovy. Now pull out a thesaurus because I could go on an adjective binge trying to explain this track’s level of freshness. Pat Lok took Desiree Dawson’s sexy voice and delivered a track hotter than a Little Caeser’s Hot n’ Ready fresh out the oven. I’m addicted to his sounds more than I expected – it leaves its mark in your mind. This Canadian from beautiful British Columbia showcases his Vancouver roots with this one and it’s getting me wetter than the Pacific Ocean. Scope this new addition to your “late night jam” playlist.
Indie | Just Kiddin’ – Thinking About It (ROOM8 Remix)
Posted by JT on January 14, 2015
This promo just landed in my dropbox and I have to say I was blown away. The boys at Room8 have flipped the original tune and added a futuristic element oriented by midnight sounds and carried away into a 90s inspired rock vibe. This one is catchy – they utilized the vocals effectively and constructed a quality tune. I’m very impressed by Room8 and look forward to what they have in store for us.

Deorro is a name thats on everyone’s lips these days. He’s gone from small town club venues to mainstages world-wide and he’s showing no signs of slowing down. His latest release on Ultra Records is a testament to this fact and boy oh boy has he added a whole new meaning to the term “bass.” The development of Deorro as an artist has exponential, as the quality of each release brings something fresh to the ever-changing EDM club scene. Above you can get a first hand experience of the type of party Deorro likes to throw. He’s finding a balance in his music that is both ear catching and groove-provoking – an element of his music I hope he does not ever plan to change.
Scope out his latest EP “Boombox” and if you’re attending Coachella don’t miss an opportunity have your face melted.
Indie | DIMES Goes 11/10 On His Latest Remix of Bastille’s “Flaws”
Posted by JT on January 13, 2015
DIMES is back with another release and as I expected, he’s produced another quality track with a developing signature sound for himself that incorporates elements of funk and tropical goodness. “Flaws” is a classic tune and I was very surprised when DIMES shot me a message with the link. I didn’t know what to expect but he twisted the vocals with feel good synths and created this friendly tune. I’m impressed with his consistency and look very forward to his future releases! Scope this, it’s a guaranteed addition any upbeat playlists you’ve got brewing.

When I covered Dan Sieg’s A Sense Of Wonder I never thought I would one day be posting up a track I can easily refer to as one that qualifies parallel emotion. Blugazer’s remix to this beautiful track is pure magic. Adding his own simple touches Blugazer transforms “Horizons” into a translucent love piece, with perfect transitions and added chimes and chords that just carry me away. With such sensation backing this remix, I can’t seem to take it off repeat.
Chill | SMLE Redefines Smooth With His Remix To T-Pain
Posted by JT on January 9, 2015
Somebody call the fire brigade because this track is just too hot to handle. SMLE hit my radar and with this much swag he’s got nothing holding him down. The kid just reinvented T-Pain. Is T-Pain even making music? I don’t know but SMLE should probably produce his next album because this throwback got a much needed futuristic resurrection. Lay back, pop in some ear phones, and swerve.
