Albums, Hip-Hop, Videos | Dean Swift ft. Lucky – Prayer (Prod. Geniu$)
Posted by J_Salzer on July 10, 2012
Dean Swift drops off his newest, and first single, of his upcoming release. The beat is well crafted by the Atlanta based Geniu$, and is murdered by Boston based Dean Swift. Its interested to hear the influence of the locations in the producer’s and artist’s music, southern vs. northern. Dean Swift’s upcoming project will be entirely produced by Geniu$, so look forward to hearing many more songs like this. Prayer is incredibly emotional, and features Dean spitting some deep bars. Be on the lookout for his tape coming soon.
Hip-Hop, Videos | Moufy – Blow My High (Video)
Posted by J_Salzer on July 8, 2012
Moufy hits us with his latest feel good track and visuals to keep us all tided over until his next major release. The fun-loving Moufy is pictured riding dirty around his city in this sunny video. The feel of the track is perfectly personified by the tone of the video. Although I could do without the “igh-igh-igh-igh” in the chorus, this is one of my favorite Moufy songs to date. Be on the lookout for an exclusive FNT release with Boston’s own coming to a computer near you next week.
Funny story(warning: not that funny), Moufy’s manager sent this over to me while I had food poisoning, and if anyone has had food poisoning, they’ll understand that it’s not the best time to be reviewing music. I told him I would post it and I forgot about it until a few minutes ago…so here we are..a few days late.
Chill | Jetpack Jones – No Layover (ft. Cliff Savage)
Posted by J_Salzer on July 8, 2012
One of FNT’s favorite artists, Jetpack Jones, is back with his newest hit. No Layover features one of my favorite verses ever spat by the Lakewood native. His flow is improving on every track, which is saying alot, because it was very good to begin with. TheGeekSquad produced beat has a chord progression that is scantily is often used in mainstream tunes, so it’s great to see Jetpack taking that on, with his underground style. Make sure you like his facebook page below and be on the lookout for Afterburners…..2.
Hip-Hop, Videos | Bei Maejor – Pillz (Official Video)
Posted by J_Salzer on July 2, 2012
I’ve been convinced Bei Maejor is the most talented person in the music industry since I saw his cover of Racks about a year ago. The man can do it all, he raps, he produces, he sings, and does it all at a high level. His latest video release, Pillz, only confirms my convictions. Although the video is a little trippy, it fits the chorus’ theme of “pillz” very well. Bei’s production is out of this world, and his talent is unmistakeable. Peep the video above and be on the lookout for ANYTHING from Bei Maejor.
Hip-Hop | Security Cop Talk – D.Tucker [FNT Exclusive]
Posted by J_Salzer on June 28, 2012
In commemoration of Go Skate Day, D.Tucker releases a jam for everyone’s shredding pleasure. After first watching the video with the volume on, I turned the volume off and just appreciated the sheer awesomeness of D.Tucker’s skating. The song fits the mood of the song perfectly, and is only strengthened by the crisp visuals. D. Tucker had this to say about the release: “Not all skater-cops are bad ones, but the majority are assholes and this my message to them. This song is for skaters around the world that feel proud being a skater, all we want to do is have a good time.” So in addition to a great song, with great visuals, D. Tucker is making a point. This video makes me want to go out and skate, even though I would probably fall flat on my face.

Hip-Hop | Kam Royal – Rolling Stone
Posted by J_Salzer on June 22, 2012
I’ve never posted Kam Royal’s music. I’ve never disliked it, but I’ve never enjoyed it enough to share it with all of you. This song is different. Rolling Stone has a old school feeling beat that Kam flows over with the confidence of the most veteran rapper. If Kam continues making music like this, he’ll find himself on Fresh New Tracks much more frequently. I’ve enjoyed watching him progress as an artist, and at the rate he’s going, he won’t be stopping anytime soon.
